Louis | Age 14
You hate thunderstorms. Everyone knew it. So when Louis was watching you on a Friday night, and the severe thunderstorm warning popped up in your area, he tried his best to distract you.
"Y/N! Go get ready for bed, please! I'll be right up!" He called from the kitchen. You sighed, but did as he asked. You were tired.
Once you were settled in bed, Louis came up to kiss you goodnight. Then you were out like a light. After he left, he felt accomplished that he got you to sleep before the storms started. Boy, was he wrong.
As soon as the first clap of thunder rang out, you shot up in your bed crying. It was only about 30 minutes after you fell asleep, so lucky for you, Louis was still up. The lighting flashed outside your window, lighting your room up. Loud thunder followed afterwards, scaring you out of your skin. You shot up and ran to Louis' room.
"Louis! Louis, where are you?! There's a storm!" You squealed. He stepped out of the bathroom in his room and ran to you. You wrapped your arms around him tightly and cried into his chest.
"Hey, it's okay! Come over here, look," he cooed softly to you, knowing how frightened you get. He brought you over to his bed and got underneath the covers with you. He reached into his nightstand drawer and pulled some headphones out, plugging them into his phone. He placed them over your ears and played some music. He stroked your hand with his thumb as he moved one of the earphones away from your ear.
"See? Not so bad anymore, right?" He asked. You shook your head. "No. But only you would play One Direction. Really, Louis? That's cheesy," you chuckled as you snuggled more into him. He just smirked and threw his hands up.
Niall | Age 7
As soon as the rain started pouring, you got excited. You love the rain. "Niall!" You shouted, running down the halls.
"What?!" He shouted, just as excited. He knew why you were excited, he just loves to see you so happy. "It's raining!" You sang happily. He gasped. "Raining? Why would you be excited about rain?" He teased. You groaned. "Niaaaalll!" You whined.
He laughed and tossed you playfully over his shoulder. "Let's check the weather then," He sat you on his lap as he opened the laptop. "Can we go play? Please?!" You said bouncing on his leg.
He sighed. "Sorry, Princess. It's a severe thunderstorm warning," he said as he closed it. "W-well what does that mean?" You asked. "It means no playing in the rain today. Sorry babe," he said as he ruffled your hair lightly and sat you down. "But Ni!" You whined as he walked back into his room. "Sorry, it's too dangerous. No," he stated, avoiding eye contact, knowing he would give in if he did.
"Why can't we play though?" You said as your lip quivered. He stopped and turned around with a smirk. "I suppose that's a good point."
Your smirk matched his. Soon, you were both playing hide and seek, and somehow he ended up with makeup on him at the end of all of it. The sadness of not being able to play in the rain forgotten.
Liam | Age 18
You had just moved out of the house a few weeks ago. You were doing great on your own. Until one night you were watching Pretty Little Liars, and the power suddenly went out. Of course being you, you panicked, thinking you'd forgotten to pay the electric bill. But that panic faded when you heard thunder. Then you freaked out again.
"No, no, no. Not a storm. Please no!" You whined to yourself as you rested your head on your knees. You were soon freaking out enough to text someone. You grabbed your phone and shot a text to Liam. As soon as he read your urgent text, your phone was ringing with a concerned Liam on the other line.
"Y/N?" He asked, concern coating each word.
"Li!" You squealed into the phone.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"No, I'm scared. I don't like living alone, Li."
"I know. Me either. How about you go to bed, and when the storms pass tomorrow, you pack up and stay over here for a while?"
"O-okay, but I'm too scared to sleep. Don't hang up!" You sobbed into the phone.
"Okay, okay! Don't cry, little sis. I'll stay on the phone with you until you go to sleep, okay? Just go climb in bed."
You nodded, even though he couldn't see you, and went to bed. Him lightly humming over the phone was enough to knock you out for hours and forget the storm.
Harry | Age 10 Months
You had been through only a few thunderstorms in your ten months of life, but enough to not scare you anymore. At least when your mum was there. Harry was watching you for a few days, and knew all the basics on caring for you. But what he didn't know was that there was a storm nearing your area of town. He had just got you down for a nap when the rain started coming down. He ignored it and carried on.
But when the thunder and lighting began, he decided to check the weather. He saw that their were storms the rest of the day. They were pretty severe. Your crib was right by the window so he decided to run in and grab you. Right when he reached your door, you started to whine.
"Hey, s'alright. I'm right here it's just a scary storm. I'm here," he said gently, calming you before you got the chance to cry. He reached in and scooped you from the crib. You snuggled into him and let him bounce you around gently as you listened to the thunder.
You honestly couldn't care less about the storm. Just pissed that something woke you up from your precious nap.
