*Jessica's P.O.V.*

I was trying to ignore the butterflies in my stomach as I walked up to the door I haven't seen in 6 years. I was so nervous I'm surprised I can still walk. I walked up to the door and quickly knocked before I could talk myself out of it. The door opened quickly and I was greeted by my eldest brother Jimmy. He let out a "manly" scream and pulled me into a one crushing hug, squeezing all the air out of my lungs inn the process.

"A-h. Jimmy. Can't. Breathe." I strangled out with what little air I had left.

"Oh, right. Sorry I-" he apologized letting me go.

He didn't get to finish before he was interrupted by my mum who shrieked and ran to me. She captured me in another hug and started crying into my shoulder. Of course her scream made everyone else come to see what was going on. I wasn't even over the thresh hold before I was tackled by everyone. Once again, all the air had been squeezed out of me.

"Still. N-need. Ta breathe." I choked out.

At once they all released me with a chorus of sorry's.

"Brr. It's cold out. Shut the door and come in already." Jimmy joked, knowing full well why the door was still open.

"Yeah, yeah." I answered, rolling my eyes at his smug expression, before following the others to the living room and taking a seat on the couch. Mum and dad were in the loveseat,my dad holding my mum's hand with one and the other placed around her shoulders. It was obvious they were still as in love as the day they said "I do." It was so adorable it was sickening. Maddie and Mary were squished in one chair and Ellie sat comfortably in the other. I was sitting smooshed with Tyler n my left and Jimmy on my right. Everyone was staring at me as if they hadn't seen me in years. Oh, wait.

"So honey, what brings you home?" My dad asked, trying to comfort his still blubbering wife.

"Well,  it's a bit of a long story. But, after I graduated from Columbia, I was hired to work for Timothy Brown, the top designer in the U.S. He decided he wanted to open an office here in Ireland - Bloomfield actually. He was sending his best designer out her to be the CEO and run the branch out here in Bloomfield. And his best designer just so happens to be me." I paused, letting it all sink in for a moment, "So here I am. I moved in yesterday." I finished with a triumphant smile.

As I looked around I saw they were all staring at me, eyes wide open, mouths agape. Ellie - who seemed to process this new information first, ran over to me. She jumped on my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck, and crying into my shoulder.

"I- I'm j-just so hap-py you're home-e." she choked out between hiccups.

"Shh... I know, me too." I soothed, wrapping my arms around her shaking frame, as I felt my own tears start to burn my eyes before leaving damp trails down my cheeks. This moment was soon turned into another group hug as everyone on top of me on the couch.. At this point, we were all just one bug sobbing mess, as we hugged each other for the first time in years. I don't think if it wasn't for my grumbling stomach, we would have stayed in that position for hours. We all laughed as we broke apart, wiping out tear stained faces and sniffling.

"Well then, I guess it's a good thing we haven't had dinner yet!" Tyler jokes as his own stomach started grumbling.

"Oh, no!" my mum gasped, her eyes widening before she turned and ran to the kitchen, all of us trailing quickly after her. She opened the oven, releasing a cloud of smoke, which, in turn, set off the smoke detector, making us all cringe at the ear-splitting noise. Coughing, we all scrambled t either get out, open the windows, or stop the smoke detector. Luckily - and much to out appreciation - the smoke cleared out quickly, and dad had managed to stop the beeping smoke alarm by jabbing at it with the end of a broom handle.

Still coughing lightly, I asked, "Mum, what was that supposed to be?" I said looking at it now, it was still smoking slightly, and just looked like a big, black, blob.

"It was supposed to be lasagna," she sighed shaking her head.

As she said this, I wanted to cry. Mum's lasagna was my favourite and it had been ages since I'd had it. Sucking it up, I looked at her, "You want to order pizza?" she nodded and went to go get the phone and order, asking toppings as she passed everyone. She ended up ordering three large pizzas. One half cheese and half pepperoni, another half meat lover and half mushrooms, and the third half pineapple and ham and half veggie. Let's just say the pizza shop was going to have their hands full for a bit.

While waiting for the pizzas, we just talked and caught up with each others lives. Mum had gotten a promotion at the flower shop she worked at. Dad had just a few years left before he could retire from his delivery job. Maddie and Mary were now in year ten and were loving every second of it. Ellie had just graduated from medical school and was working as a doctor at the hospital. Tyler was opening his own landscaping business and also was in a very serious, happy relationship with his girlfriend Alex, for 3 years. Jimmy was now playing football for Old Castle. He too was in a relationship, with a girl named Jennifer. They had been dating since Jimmy was signed to Old Castle, five years ago. He's actually been considering proposing - I told him I wanted to meet her first and he agreed. As the conversation died down, it was then that I realized I was still wearing Niall's sweatshirt. I was in the middle of slowly and carefully slipping it off, when Jimmy glanced over at me.

"Ooo! And who's might that be?" he asked smirking and wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

And just like that, everyone's attention was back on me, making me feel uncomfortable.

"Uh... no one's?" I said, but it sounded more like a question than a statement.

"Mhm, u-huh. Let me smell it." he replied, obviously not buying my answer.

"Uh... ok?" I said. Unsure of what to do, I held out the sweatshirt to him. Which, he quickly snatched and brought up to his face, actually smelling it.

"Aha!" he exclaimed, "It smells like cologne!" he smirked. "Who is he?"

Sighing deeply, I decided there was no point trying to hide it. "His name is Niall. I ran into him on my way here. We started talking and then it was dark and cold, so he gave me his sweatshirt to keep me warm and he dropped me off and wants me to call him when I'm ready to go home.  And he's really nice and sweet and funny." I paused, taking a much needed breath and continued, "There, happy?"

"Yes!" he cheered happily, "I want to meet him.  When can I meet him?" he asked excitedly.

"Uh, I don't know, you will  probably see him if you ever come over. He lives right across the street."

"Then it's settled, I'm coming over tomorrow. No if's and's or but's."

"I'm coming too!" Tyler added before I could object.

"Ugh! Fine! Just don't scare him away, he is my only neighbor right now!"

"Yes ma'am!" they both said, mock saluting me.

Rolling my eyes, I couldn't help but wonder, What have I gotten myself into?
