*Niall's P.O.V.*

We had just pulled out of the driveway when Jessica turned to me with a confused look on her face.

"What babe?" I asked glancing at her. She blushed madly at the petname.

"D-did- ," she started, still a bit flustered, before clearing her throat and starting over, "Did they just give me a curfew?" she asked in shock.

I laughed, "Yeah I guess they did!" I snickered at the thought - a grown woman had a curfew to be back to the house that she owns. Yeah that sounds right.

"I can't believe them." she huffed, crossing her arms.

"Aw don't pout love. You're too pretty to pout." I said - wait I said that? Out loud?! I instantly felt the blush crawling up my neck, and turning my face a lovely tomatoes red. I glanced over at her to see if she had caught what I said, and judging by the blush she was sporting, she had heard me loud and clear.

"You think I'm pretty?" she whispered as I pulled up to a red light.

"Of course! I think you're beautiful. Hasn't anyone ever told you that?" I asked in disbelief as the light turned green and I continued on towards our date location.

"By my family and a few girl friends, but never by a guy before." she responded, blushing even more.

I reached over and grabbed her hand, lacing her fingers with my own as I brought them up to my lips, placing a soft kiss to the back of her hand before resting them in my lap. "Well that's a shame because you are very beautiful." I said softly, stroking the back of her hand with the pad of my thumb. We drove for a bit more until you could see the beach up ahead of us. "We're here!" I cheered as I parked the car, running over to open her door for her and helping her down. "Yada! Welcome to the Mullingar section of the Royal Canal Board Walk!" (A/N I have no idea if this actually a real thing I just googled bodies of water close to Mullingar) I exclaimed, waving my hands around me. "I figured we could take a walk on the beach, grant some dinner, visit the light house, maybe hit a few cheesy tourist shops?" I finished, nervously scratching the back of my neck.

"I'd love that!" she exclaimed, excitement glittering in her eyes. she had a big grin on her face making one of my own appear.

"Well what are we waiting for?" I joked, grabbing her hand and leading her to the beach.

As we walked on the beach we talked about everything. From what being thrown into the public eye was like, to how being in NYC was, to our favourite colours, to what our plans for the future were. I don't know about her, but I was hanging on to her every word.

After working for a while I spotted a cute little pizza shop and was reminded that at some point we needed to fill our empty stomachs.

"So, how do you feel about pizza?" I asked, breaking the comfortable silence we had slipped into.

"Mmm pizza!" she practically shouted, eyes alive with excitement. "Let's go!" she cheered, all but dragging me to the pizza shop.

"Woah! Easy Killer, we've got all the time in the world." I joked, wrapping an arm around her waist as we walked into the restaurant. "Table for two, please." I said to the hostess, who nodded, grabbing two menus and leading us to a booth by the window that faced the beach.

"Your waiter should be with you in a few moments." she smiled and walked away.

we fell into a comfortable silence as we decided what to get. After a bit, our waiter came.

*Jessica's P.O.V.*

"Hello! My name's Jade and I'll be your server today. What can I get you sir?" she asked looking at Niall. He ordered a simple small pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and a chocolate milkshake to drink. She nodded turning to me, "And what can I get fo-" she cut herself off, her eyes widening, "Jessica?!" she just about screamed.

My eyes widened in realization. "Oh my God! Jade!" I all but shrieked as I got up and hugged the living carp out of her. "I missed you so much." I mumbled into her shoulder on the verge of tears. She could tell and only hugged me tighter. We hugged for a while, until we heard an awkward cough causing us to pull apart. "Oh!" I said, I had compolitely forgotten about Niall! I'm an awful date... "Niall this is my best friend Jade. Jade this is my date Niall." I introduced them with a sheepish smile, a blush making its way to my cheeks.

Niall only chucked at my embarrassment and forgetfulness. He stood up and extended a hand out, "It's nice to meet you." he smiled.

Jade laughed, pulling Niall into a hug "You too! But no need to be so formal! Any friend of Jess' is a friend of mine!" she said to him. Niall, still stuck in her embrace, was not really sure how to react. He looked to me for guidance. I just snickered and mouthed hug her, over her shoulder. He slowly hugged her back, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, making Jade chuckle at his obvious discomfort before pulling away. I was staring at Niall, he was staring at me, and Jade was looking between the both of us with a smirk on her face.

"Oh will you lovebirds sit down already?" she smirked, chuckling at her own joke and shoved us back in our seats. "So what do you want Jessica?" she asked getting back to business.

"Umm..." I started, quickly scanning the menu until something caught my eye, "Ooo! Can I have a small white garlic pizza please and a vanilla milkshake?"

She nodded her head in approval and wrote down my order. "I'll be right out with your drinks," she said, grabbing our menus and walking away.

"So," I said, picking up the conversation, "You've met my brothers, and my best friend. The rest should be smooth sailing." I joked, moving my hand in a small wave motion when I said "smooth sailing".

*Niall's P.O.V.*

I couldn't help but laugh at her attempt to lighten our embarrassed moods. "Phew! That's a relief!" I joked along and wiped nonexistent sweat off my forehead. But really I was quite relieved, I mean yeah I was still super nervous about meeting anyone remotely important to her, but knowing that her brothers and best friend were the worst, takes a huge weight off my chest. Deciding we needed a lighter topic, I changed the subject. "So, tell me what do you know about One Direction?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"Honestly?" she asked, to which I nodded. "Not that much to tell the truth. I mean you guys have some fantastic songs, you were all thrown into the world of fame after you were put in a band on X-Factor. I know you guys do a lot of charity work. Umm, your very popular among teenage girls - I mean who wouldn't be, you're all incredibly attractive - " her cute rambling was cut off abruptly when she realized what she just said, a deep blush forming on her cheeks. "So eh yeah that's about all I know." she finished, ducking her head trying to hide her blush.

"Hey," I said softly, placing a finger under her chin, forcing her to look at me. "Don't be embarrassed, I find it very flattering that you find me 'incredibly attractive' ." I quoted her with a smirk. She blushed even harder if possible and smacked my hand away causing me to burst into laughter. She just poured and waited for me to calm down.
