Hospital

Riley sat in the hospital waiting room staring at the double doors leading to the emergency care rooms.

All that Riley can think about is what tombstone did to Maya and how she looked when Riley finally got to see her. It just kept on replaying in Riley's head. Like movie a horrible movie that Riley wanted to forget.

Farkle, Lucas, Zay, Chai, and Smackle finally arrived to the hospital and saw Riley in the waiting room. They all sat in the waiting room. No one saying a word but all thinking the same thing. Hoping that Maya will be alright.

After what seemed like an eternity a doctor in scrubs emerged from the doors. He removed his face mask as he approached. "Maya Hart's family?" The doctor said. Once, they heard Maya's name everyone stood up.

"Maya's parents aren't here. But I'm Maya's older brother." Lucas said lying to the doctor for he knew that only family can know about Maya's condition. "Is Maya okay?" Riley asked with tears.

"Maya is very lucky to be alive. As you all know Maya rode tombstone and he's the most dangerous bull. Tombstone did some major damage. She severed multiple broken bones, a massive concussion, broke her ribs. She's lucky she can still walk." The doctor said.

Everyone let out a breath of relief, "Doctor, can we see Maya now?" Riley asked.

"She's stabilized now and in recovery. She won't know you're there. Now, if you follow me you can come see her now." The doctor said. Everyone looked at Riley.

"You should go and see Maya first, Riley. And don't worry everything will be okay." Farkle said assuring Riley with a smile. Riley nodded and followed the doctor to Maya's room.

The world crashes down as Riley hears the door close behind them, and sees Maya laying unconscious in the hospital bed, hooked up to various machines. A heart monitor was so quiet and yet so loud to Riley's ears as she heard it slowly beeping.

Riley takes a seat next to Maya's bed and holds Maya hand. "Peaches, you can't leave me! Okay, you gotta get better. Don't you remember what you told us. That we had nothing to worry about! You broke your promise, Maya. But, you'll wake up. Because, your our Fierce strong Amazon Warrior." Riley said and then looked at her engagement ring. "When I look at this ring. It reminds me of the love we share for each other together. That we're gonna be together forever. It's you and me forever. I need you with me." Riley begs and pleads are loud and her voice is racked with heartbreaking sobs. She grasps onto Maya's lifeless hand tightly."Home is wherever I'm with you. Never forget that you'll always be my extraordinary relationship! Stay with me." Riley said sobbing when suddenly the heart monitor beeping slowly stopped just like Riley's world in that moment. The beeping stopped. Pretty soon, Riley saw doctors entering Maya's room and pushing Riley out of the room and closing the door.

"What happened?!" They all yelled at the same time. Riley turns, tears down her cheeks and her eyes red.

"I . . . I lost her! Maya dead!" Riley cries out. They all sit slowly with tear filled eyes and a blank expression. Chai, Farkle, Zay, Smackle, and Lucas just couldn't believe that they lost Maya. Lucas knew this was his fault that this happened. He should have just ignored the person but his pride got in the way. He put his face in his hands and just lets out harsh sobs. Chai hugs Riley, but Riley jerks back.

Riley walks straight up to Lucas and pulls him up by his shirt, "This is all your fault! Your the reason that Maya is dead! You killed the love of my life!" Riley yelled with so much anger that she slapped Lucas on his face leaving a red mark. Chai pulls Riley away and wrap her arms around Riley, forcing back her own tears. Riley lets her fists slowly and softly hit Chai back, as if trying to break from the embrace. "I lost Maya! It's my fault, Chai! It's my fault! I lost her! I should've stopped her!" Riley's sobs are the loudest of the friends. Chai, Farkle, Zay, Smackle all hug Riley. For, none of them could believe they lost one of their friends. Maya died by volunteering to take Lucas place to ride tombstone.
R.I.P. Maya Hart you'll always be remembered.
