This morning, when I arrived at the office, I found a letter from an unknown source on my table. The Midnight Killer had supposedly written to me. He threatened to kill my wife if I didn't publish the contents of the letter. There is no way I am going to sit back and call his bluff, so here is the letter:
Hello people of New York City! Most of you have probably heard that there's a serial killer on the loose. He is responsible for the brutal killing of nine women and the number keeps going up.
The media has dubbed the perpetrator of these gruesome murders as 'The Midnight Killer'.
A lot of people are curious as to how and why the victims were chosen and the manner in which they died.
The police department has refused to release any information because they have no clue who the killer is and why he is targeting these women, but I have the answers to your questions.
You must be wondering who I am and why I apparently have the answers to your questions.
I am The Midnight Killer.
Every weekday, I will send a letter to Mr. Dylan Keys. In this letter, I will write about myself and the events that led to the killings of these women.
My identity is unknown, but I want the police to find these clues about me.
I want to get caught.
I need to be stopped.
This is my confession.
