Chapter 9: Moving

Carl's pov
I woke up and saw that Sophia is lying next to me, we probably fell asleep while watching a movie, i got up and looked through the window it's still night, i reached for the clock and it was 2:00 am, i don't know where are they, it's night and there are more walkers outside now, just in that minute the gates opened and the car went in, i saw dad opening the door of the car, Carol and Daryl came out and Michonne too, that's a relief they're all alive, i smiled.
I went out of the house and waited for them on the porch, Michonne saw mw and walked to me
"Hey, why aren't you sleeping?" She asked
"Oh we watched some movie, Sophia is asleep" i sad
"Oh ok" she smiled and pulled something from her backpack.
"Here i got you this" she said and gave me something like a book, i looked at it and i lt was a comic book.
"Thanks" i smiled and hugged her
"Now better go wake up Sophia and go to your room to avoid your dad asking questions" she said
"Yeah i know" i said and went in the house
"Sophia" i said gently pushing her
"What is it Carl, i'm sleeping" she said
"I know but they came home we need to go upstairs" i said
She didn't respond she fell asleep again.
I picked her up and carried her in her bed, i smiled as i looked at her sleeping and then i got to my bed and fell asleep.

Sophia's pov
I woke up and looked at Carl's bed of course he wasn't there, he always wakes up earlier.
I went downstairs and i saw him and Carl eating breakfast while mum was washing the dishes, mum looked at me and said
"Hey Sophia, come and eat with us", i smiled and grabbed a bowl.
"So i wanted to talk to you about something" mum said
"Yes go on" i said looking at my food while eating it.
"Are you two in a relationship?" She said and i almost died, i barely swallowed my food.
I looked at Carl and he had the same smirk on his face.
"I'm sorry Carol, can you repeat that?" He said probably trying to get time to think about a good excuse.
"You heard me, now don't pretend you don't know what i'm talking about, i saw you carrying her upstairs yesterday" she said
"Well i did that cause she fell asleep on a couch what's wrong with that" he said
"Yeah mum we're just friends" i said and smiled
She looked like she didn't believe us, and yeah she didn't
"I saw you two holding hands couple of times and trust me there's nothing friendly about that" she said and got up
"Where are you going" i got up confused and scared at the same time and so was Carl.
"Carol please we can explain" he said and then he set back ok a chair, he looked upset.
"We'll handle this" i said and took his arm
"No we can't they're gonna separate us" he said
"I know but still it's not the end of the world, plus i still think that there's hope" i said
"I love that we're in the same room, we have privacy there and we can talk there, we can kiss there, you know, and now everyone will know about us and everyone will talk about it and it won't be so special anymore" he said
"I know, but if we can't stay together if that happens then we better break up already" i said
"No of course not, i'm just upset cause i liked it this way" he smiled
"I know me too" i smiled and kissed him
And in that moment Rick and mum walked in.
"Ok now it's official" mum said
We just looked at them and i said
"Ok let's get over with this, what do you want from us?"
"Well now when i know that you two are together i was gonna ask Rick what to do cause he's Carl's father and i'm your mother" she said
"Oh them? I knew about them, Carl already told me a week ago" Rick said laughing
"Really, so why didn't you tell me?" Mum said surprised and little angry
"I don't know, probably cause i know that your reaction is not gonna be good" he said
"Well you are right, and for now on they're not sleeping in the same room" she said
"Oh come on mum" i said
"No Sophia, don't say anything" she said
"No seriously Carol, it's not that serious i already said to Carl to not do anything stupid and he seems to understand" Rick said
"Yeah i really do" Carl said
"Oh shut up, no i made my decision" she said
"Well i guess i can't stop you" Rick said
"Yeah you're right, you can't, cause after all you have a son and i have a daughter what if she gets pregnant in this whole situation, i can't risk that, we need to move" she said
"Mum you're overreacting no one is getting pregnant for god sakes" i said
"Carol, she's right, you're little overreacting here" Rick said
"No i'm not, tell me Rick when you had your first girlfriend did she live with you?" She said
"No but, it's apocalypse outside and it's not the same" he said
"Yeah and we have a free house remember Dianna gave us one, to me and Daryl?" She said
"But we said that we'll stick together" Rick said
"I know, we did but we sticked together long enough i like this place and i feel safe here there's no reason to stick together anymore when we have a nice big house all empty" she said
"Well if that's what you want, then ok" Rick said
"You gotta be kidding me" Carl said
"Carl calm down" Rick said
"Just leave me alone" he climbed the stairs
I went after him.
"Hey, are you ok" i said opening the room door.
"I can't believe that you're moving to the other house" he said
"Oh come on, it's not like i'm moving to another city, it's not gonna be the same but we'll still hang out" i said
"I know but i'll miss talking to you before sleep" he said and looked at me with his beautiful eyes
"I know i'll miss sleeping in your arms too" i said and smiled at him
"Come here" he said and kissed me, we cuddled for a while and then i heard my mum shouting
"Sophia, are you packed?"
"I'm coming!" I shouted and i started packing fast and Carl helped me
