4.2 - Disguised Distress
~ Niall ~
---------

Six fried egg sandwiches later, Gerard, Robyn and I exit their house and start heading towards the pack-house. Robyn had three, I had two and Gerard had one, he drooled on one of my sandwiches and I am not getting any of his germs. I think he did it on purpose as he's still smirking.

"It was a sandwich, get over it," Robyn says with a slight smile.

"It was my breakfast. Not just a sandwich. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," I reply.

"You didn't want to give Cian his last week."

"He was staring at your ass." Gerard snickers. "What about that dude who runs Alpha conferences, I'm sure he'll love to pay Maeve a visit." Gerard growls at me. "Exactly, so don't snicker."

"Oh dear, Moon Goddess, I'm surrounded by idiots."

"What?" Gerard and I protest at the same time.

Robyn grins back at us as we had frozen in place. "Come on, we haven't got all day," Robyn states before continuing to walk towards the pack-house.

"Camera in glasses?" Gerard whispers.

"And the microphone," I reply similarly. "He stole them off my face last night."

"Ah."

I watch Robyn walk ahead of us, her hair and shirt flowing behind her as she walks.

"It's been over a week, hasn't it?" Gerard whispers. I just nod, soaking up the happy atmosphere of the pack. "Means you can touch her ass without Ethan complaining, right?"

"He forgot the loophole of me being able to do it when he wasn't looking," I whisper back.

Gerard starts laughing. "He's giving me very colourful names to call you."

"I guessed."

I look back at Gerard and Niall to see them walking side by side at the start of the car park for the pack-house. Standing by the front door, I wait for them to catch up.

"What's taking you two so long?" I ask.

"Not used to a relaxed attitude like this around the pack. Mostly only the Beta team is this laidback," Niall says.

"Oh, right. Come on, we've got to check the lounge, see who's in."

I turn on my heel and walk into the pack-house, the other two following behind me. "Can I stay there?"

"Nope."

"Damn." There's a small pause. "What if I'm injured and I can't over-exert my leg?"

"All I'm hearing is your pathetic attempt at getting out of walking around the pack-house."
