Me and Emerald were talking. "You still love him don't you?" "huh?" I put down my drink. "Shadow, you still love him?" "well that doesn't matter n-" "that's not the question" I stared at her for a moment. "yes, I do" "that's what I thought. After being with him for a year you really start to read the guy. He never opened up to me as much as he did with you" "a year?" "yes, also were not married" she took her drink into her hand. "what!?" "lower you voice. yes, were not married. As to who's child Scarlet is, I can only guess" she took a sip of her drink. "He had her with him before you two met?" "Correct" I turned my head as I saw Shadow and 'John' make their way back to the table. "Hey guys" "foods here" Emerald said as they sat down. The waiter had come with our food while they were gone.

"We waited for you" I told 'John' as he sat down. "Your welcome" I elbowed him in a teasing manor. We ate our meal in almost pure silence. Something happened in that bathroom. Maybe they know something happened out here too. We paid for our meals and went to the front of the restaurant. "Well, we best be going" "see ya" "good luck" Emerald whispered that part to me. I stood there not really sure what she meant. Rick had to break the bad news to me, "(y/n)" "what?" we were in the car, he was driving me home. "He knows" "he knows?" "he kind of interrogated me in the bathroom. Well, I wouldn't call it an interrogation as much as it was he just read my mind" "Come on!" "hey, he was bound to figure out being the guy he is" "I'm not blaming you... Now that gig is up I have to approach him directly" he stopped in front of my house.

I got out of the car. "Directly approach him?" "I was talking to Emerald back there and I think he might still be holding on to our love" "I hope you don't get heart broken" I smiled at him as a reassurance I won't. He sighed and drove off waving to me. I went inside my house and changed into my pajamas immediately. I plopped down on the couch. I picked up my checklist and looked at it. I hadn't gone over any new grounds with this. I feel like I just need to check off one more to really know. I had already marked off three. I heard a knock at my door and hid it under the pillow. I opened the door, "hello?" It was Emerald at the door. "May I come in?" I opened the door wider for her to come in. I closed the door and we sat on the couch. "Would you like something to drink? Tea or.." "Tea would be fine" I got up and went into the kitchen. "So, I feel like we needed to talk more. We didn't cover much in the restaurant" I put a kettle on the stove.
