Your P.O.V.

I knocked on the door and awaited his answer. I heard the door knob jiggle. I began to regret coming here. What am I doing? Of coarse he doesn't love you anymore, he's moved on! The door opened. I stood frozen and unsure what to do. He just looked at me, with concern. "Your back?" "Yes... may I come in?" I said slowly and almost robotic. He just opened the door more for me to come in. I walked in, awkwardly, and went into his house. He led me to the kitchen. They had a counter with stools up to it then the kitchen behind it. I sat on one of the stools. "Drink?" I shook my head. "I, um.. came here to talk to you.." "I know. About what?" I looked up at him. He walked over and leaned on the counter in front of me. 

"About..." He looked at me intently. I looked away and brushed my (h/c) hair behind my ear. "Yes?" "I wanted to know.." he stood up straight. "If you.." "If I still love you?" I looked up at him. "I can read minds" he reminded me. I blushed madly thinking he could've read my mind at any time. "I- I- just-" "(y/n)" I looked at his ruby eyes. My (e/c) eyes tearing up. I stood up and leaned over the counter. I kissed him. It took a minute and he pushed me away. "I have a girlfriend" "I know, but she gave me permission" he looked at me confused. "Go talk to your girlfriend" I told him and walked away. "(y/n).." I nodded and left out the door. I had no doubt now. He kissed me back....

I waited awhile. I was at home sitting on the couch. I looked at my clock and it had been twenty minutes. I got up and put my on my coat. I walked over to Shadow's house, one. last. time. Hopefully. I saw Emerald walking out of his house. Shadow was standing at his door. She saw me and smiled and winked. She disappeared in a puff of smoke. I walked up to the door, I looked at Shadow. He turned his attention to me, he hugged me. I hugged him back, "I'm sorry" "no need to be" he took me inside. He sat me down in the living room. "We need to talk" "yes?" "Well, more of.. I need to tell you something" I sat at the edge of my seat. I was eager to hear what he had to tell me.

He looked over at something. I turned my head that direction. It was the girl, "go upstairs Scarlet" "where's Emerald?" she asked so innocently. I almost felt bad, she was her kind of mother. "Go upstairs, please" she scampered up the stairs. "Scarlet she..." "she's cute" "okay, when I told you everything I left out that I slept with Rouge and kind of cheated on you-" "kind of?" "I cheated on you. Well I left out another important fact" I looked at him waiting for it. The truth. Maybe he was gonna tell me about the girl. Wait, could it be Rouge's? He did cheat on me so maybe she had a child? "Scarlet is... yours and mine" I thought it was Rouge's. Wait a minute, "What!?"

(Usually I would end the chapter here, but extra long chapter for the finale! Yay!)

He sat down next to me. "When you got amnesia the first time, you had the baby. It was ill though and they thought it had died. That's why it was so heartbreaking to tell you because you had just held it for a second" I started to tear up, but not that much. I knew this part. "Something happened and you got hit with another wave of amnesia. I couldn't bare to tell you, when the doctor came back in and said it was alive. It was a miracle, he told me. I couldn't tell you though.... something inside me jerked me awake and I wasn't ready for that. I put of the baby, they took her somewhere where someone could take care of her" I started to tear up more. 

This was just heartbreaking. I couldn't bare to interrupt him though, so I sat there and listened. "I took you home... and you know what happened from there... I needed to tell you everything. But when we rescued you from your ex-boyfriend, you had already decided to leave me. When you got on that bus and left I went back for her. I got her back and started calling her Scarlet. She was a reminder, of how I messed up so bad with you.." I busted out in tears. A full on sobbing fest. Shadow pulled me in and hugged me. I cried out waterfalls onto his shoulders. I felt so bad... He lied to me yet I still wanted him. He put himself in this mess yet I'm the one suffering so badly.

He pushed my face up. "Are you back?" "back?" "are you here to stay? with me and Scarlet?" I paused for a moment. This is what I wanted, right? I wanted him, to be with him. Now we have a daughter. I should be happy. I am, but there was something else deep down inside also. "Yes! Of coarse, I wouldn't just leave my daughter" I hugged him. I let out a little sniffle. He pushed me back and wiped my tears away. "(y/n)" "yes?" "I love you" "I love you too" he kissed me. We pulled back for air. He laid his head on my shoulder, "I've always loved you.." "me too" I laid my head on his.

We told Scarlet I was her mother. She was overjoyed. We explained the whole situation. I told her that she could see Emerald again if she wanted. Shadow was questionable about it but Emerald became my friend. I got in touch with (f/n) again. She was so happy for me. She argued that she had to see me and my new family every month. We all had a good laugh. I was Shadow's girl once more. I was so happy. My life's goal, accomplished. This is what I wanted. So why do I feel something else?
