Chapter Twenty-Six - Dreaming About You
ALI'S POV
I whipped my head around, to only be faced by Jordan. I saw a look of betrayal and disbelief exposed on his face. "No, Jordan!" I began.
Before I could finish, I saw Jordan turn around and run back into his car. I was about to run up with him, but he was too fast.
I faced Adam, and saw a look of victory on his face. "You fucking asshole!" I screamed, shoving him against the wall.
"You planned this, didn't you?!" I screamed, inches away from his face, fuming with anger, and also with waterfalls of tears streaming down my face at this point.
I saw Adam stand there, not even flinching. He winced in pain as I elbowed him in the gut. Before I could lash out further, I heard him say quietly, "Just ask Morgan."
I stumbled back in shock. Morgan was actually bitchy and selfish enough to try to ruin me and Jordan's relationship so she could have him?! I thought.
I ran into Adam's car, ignoring the sound of Adam's, "Hey! That's my car!"
I started the ignition and began backing up out of the driveway, heading to Jordan's mother's house. I know, bad move, but I had to, in order to find out the adress of her boss's "daughter."
When I reached her house, I ringed the doorbell, trying to make myself look presentable. I was combing through my hair with my fingers when the door opened.
I put on a smile, trying to act as kind as possible.
"Ali? What are you doing here?" she said, looking me up and down.
I gulped. Uh-Oh... What do I say?!
"Umm.. I just needed something, really quick," I stated, hoping I didn't sound too needy or pushy, as I knew she already didn't liked me.
"Oh, umm. Of course, Ali, what do you need?" she said, still being polite.
"I just needed," I began, scratching the back of my head. "You're boss's address." She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Because," I began, "I made a huge mistake, involving your son, Jordan. And I need to fix it, please, Mrs. Maron! Just this one time!" I pleaded, admitting the fact that I had screwed up, big time.
I saw Mrs. Maron's eyes flicker with something, perhaps sympathy, but it disappeared just as quickly as it came.
"Fine," she said, pursing her lips. She grabbed a nearby sticky note and wrote down the address, handing it to me.
"And for the record, someone going this far to fix something for my son, maybe he does deserve you," she said, winking.
I smiled and said, "Thank you."
She closed the door as I ran out towards Adam's car, driving to the address. I stopped at the large house, taking in the sight.
Wow. Morgan must live the life here. But she's not gonna live it with Jordan. I thought, a burst of anger passing through me.
I walked up to the door, clearing my throat. I knocked carefully, as if my hands were too dirty to be touching such a beautiful house.
The door opened, and a man opened the door, who I presumed was Mrs. Maron's boss. "Hello!" I said sweetly. "Does your daughter happen to be home?"
He smiled sweetly and said, "Christina or Morgan?"
I swallowed. "Morgan. Can I speak with her if she is available?" I asked, plastering a fake smile on my face, when in reality, I was burning with anger.
