CreekStep's Journey (May Be Mature For Younger Reader Or Sensitive)

Chapter 9

Today was their test. The cats were so excited. Their mentors helped them warm up for the test. The cats would have to hunt prey and attack a cat from the clan. (The apprentices are not warned by cat bc that would give it away)

The test for CreekPaw is in 5 minutes. She is warming up with BluePaw. They are having so much fun but they know this test is important to the whole clan. They are being very serious about their training.

Test...

CreekPaw headed toward the woods to start her hunting. She was very excited but very nervous. After wondering around for 3 minutes she spots a big chubby mouse. She smells where it lives so it could easily get away. She let's it get farther from its home before she sneaks up and attacks. The mice has gotten about 10 feet away so she starts to sneak up on it. She is as close as she can get. She pounces and bites it in its chest. It's dead. She starts a pile and sniffs to find a bunny whole. She smells 4 baby bunnies inside. She could get all but the mother would equal about 5. She decides to get 2 babies and the mother. The babies are easier cause they are so calm in the beginning. The mother comes out and she looks like 10 babies for how big she is. CreekPaw waits and jumps on the mother. The mother is struggling to get away until CreekPaw stabs her in the stomach with teeth. The mother is dead. This is going very well she thinks. She takes the kill to the pile and looks for some squirrels. She sees 1 and slowly creeps up to it the way SilverStone taught her. She pounces but it notices her and run up a thin tree trunk. She is mad it ran up the tree but tries to find another. She spots another squirrel about 20 feet ahead. She walks slowly and pounces on it and bites it's stomach but not so much all the blood comes out. This clan loves bloody prey inside. She takes it to her pile but then she hears rustling in the leaves. She goes beside a bush to hide. She sniffs the air and it smells like a cat from her clan. She knew that she shouldn't attack but it was going to her food. She doesn't want to be aggressive but she does what she was taught and pounces on the cat holding him to the ground. The cats gets up and she remembers a move she was taught to do to trick other cats. She knew it well so she tried it. She jumped at the cat and the cat jumped at her at the same time. Right before the cat snatches her she slides over so the cat falls to the ground then she pounces on him bites the behind of his neck and blood comes out on his fur. He didn't give up yet. He snatched himself up with CreekPaw clawed on his back she slowly fell down his back. When she got on her feet the cat tried to pounce but she scratched his eye and he fell to the ground and gave up. And her mentor, SilverStone trotted up to her and looked at all her prey. He said "I think now is your time to become a warrior. Let's take you back to MoonStar.

When they got back MoonStar congratulated her and asked her if she would promise till death she would serve her clan as a strong warrior. He said "Your warrior name will be......CreekStep..!". The crowd started to shout "CREEKSTEP CREEKSTEP CREEKSTEP!!!!"

BluePaw Ceramony...

BluePaw came back from the woods with a mouthful of prey. Her mentor told MoonStar she had caught prey and defeated the cat she was against. She would become a warrior! I smiled the whole time and so did she. She was soon announced BlueClaw.
