For some reason even though his parents only lived 30 minutes, all week he'd insisted we pack everything we'll need. I guess Louis was having a lot of friends over and Liam really didn't want to come back. So once we had finished packing he called a taxi. It was super early and I just wanted to sleep, but he insisted we get there early so we can have breakfast with them. Once the taxi came by we loaded up the trunk, and sat in the back. I laid down on Liam's lap, getting comfortable to just sleep for a little while. But I couldn't. I groaned after ten minutes and sat up leaning against the window.
"You can sleep when we get there, yeah?" Liam suggested and I glared at him.
"I can't fall back asleep not until tonight at least. It's hard for me to fall back to sleep, once I've been woke up."
"We'll try, alright? I don't want you all grumpy." I rolled my eyes and started out of the window. He placed his hand on top of mine, and I looked at him confused, but he looked back at me with sympathy, and then leaned forward and kissed my lips softly. I calmed down almost instantaneously, we both stared at each other happily not paying attention to the taxi driver talking to his wife on the phone, or the bumps in the road, but all I could focus on right now was him.
After about 20 minutes we got to his parents house, it was huge. I imagined maybe his parents house would look a little more smaller, since they'd been kid free and normally parents get a smaller, cozier house but there's was ginormous. We got out bags, and I was nervous to meet them. I was wearing a band tee shirt, and a plain pair of blue jeans, and Liam had always looked stunning, no matter what he wore but this was my own first impression, his parents would love him if she showed up in a plastic bag, I wanted to call the taxi back and go back and see if it was alright with Louis if I got in on his party. But it was too late now, his parents opened the door, and his mother practically squealed from happiness, and then she'd done the unexpected and ran up to me bringing me in for a hug. I was in awe. I was so struck I didn't even move. She pulled away and looked at me with a huge grin.
"You are the one making my son so, so happy." She smiled at me. "I'm Karen, no Mrs. Payne, just Karen, alright?"
"Mum, you're embarrassing him. He's already really tired." Liam groaned. It was like when a girl got her first date, and her dad was pinning questions on the date, and the girl was practically begging her dad to stop. That was the type of groan he'd let out.
"Oh!" She exclaimed. "Well, you two go on up and get to sleep. You look quite tired too, Li." I stood awkwardly wondering if his dad would ever say anything he was just standing there, and laughing at his wife. Liam grabbed on to my hand and led me inside. It was much nicer inside, the floors were so shiny, and the drapes were all matching the furniture, and they'd had this huge television in their living room along with a fireplace. I'd never been in a house like this, my old house was nothing extraordinary, it was a regular home, no fireplace, no flooring like there's, and no huge tv like the one they had. My house had 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a regular kitchen, and a living room, and a dining room. Liam led me to their kitchen, and they'd had one of those fridges with a small tv in it, and a kitchen island with lights hanging down, and the bowl of fruit right in the middle, just like an island in those kitchens in the tv shows. He grabbed us two granola bars and water bottles just to snack on so we could rest, at this point I was ready to sleep I could practically pass out. His parents scattered off giving us privacy, I liked that. Had I had been awake and more alert id like them to be talking to me and stuff, but I didn't want to humiliate myself.
Liam and I headed up the stairs, and walked all the way to the end of the hall and when he'd opened the bedroom door, I was ready to jump into the bed. The windows were big so they let in a bunch of sunlight, but the drapes were also a dark maroon color so it'd block out the sun, I hoped. The bed had tons of pillows, and it was huge. I'd smirked thinking of the things I could do with him in this bed, but it wasn't the place. I shouldn't even be thinking dirty things like that right now.
