A friendship can start with anything. A hello, a compliment sometimes it can be as simple as liking the same thing as someone.
Mine started with a book.
"AJ!!" She screamed looking at me as if I'm some alien.
This is not what I wanted.
I thought to myself looking at the newly defrosted girl. I slowly get to my feel, my tail swishing back and forth to keep me balance.
"Look I'm not looking for trouble just wishing an old friend somewhere safe to stay."
"Sure you are oldie, but I'm afraid you can't trick us twice."
"I'm leaving I promise, just don't hurt her or else you won't live to see the next day got it?"
"Wait where are you going?"
I glance towards her quickly.
As much as I want to take her with me, as much as I have been looking for her the others will eat her alive.
"Somewhere you can't go. Stay here. They'll keep you safe."
"WAIT" she screams as I'm just about to turn around and leave. Making my sensitive ears flatten against my head trying to get rid of that cringe worthy screech.
"I- I just found you... you promised you would wait. That we would be okay... together..." she all but sobbed out.
"Sophie, things change, you may be the same but I've seen things that would give you a heart attack, done things that would make you run screaming. It's been over 200 years and the wars still going on you stay here."
"W-what do you mean 200 years? H-how are you still a-alive?" She stuttered put now looking shocked and as if I was lying.
"Don't worry about it. You might find out later."
"Come on sweet lets take you away from this mutant thing."
She looked at me one last time before letting the man lead her away. My tail flickered a couple of times before I turned shifting as I started to walk away.
'This is for the best'
