****Nick POV****

When Kenzi said someone might bring a friend to the cabin trip I didn't care or worry, but apparently I should have, because the plus one was my ex Roxanne. We broke up 4 months ago after she cheated on me and slept with Jed's older brother. Apparently it was Zadie who brought her because they were sharing one of the bunk beds in the room across the hall from the room Kenzi, Wesley, and I were staying in. Zadie, Roxie, Graham, and Daxton were in the room across the hall, and Jed and Chesney took the room downstairs.

Daxton and Graham went to pick up something for dinner while Wesley, Kenzi, and Jed were outside checking out something in Wesley's truck so it was just me laying in our room watching Netflix on my phone and the rest of the girls downstairs giggling over who knows what.

I'm a couple minutes into my episode when I hear a knock on the bedroom door.

"Come in," I say without glancing up from the screen.

"Hey Nicky-hickey," I hear a voice I wish desperately to forget say.

"Hey Rox..." I mutter not looking up to meet the red heads eyes.

"Aren't you glad to see me?" she asks,"I've missed you."

"I'm glad to see you in bright spirits," I manage to say. I wasn't lying, I did want her happy but we were so incompatible that I wanted her happy far away from me.

"Have you thought about giving us another shot?" she ventures sounding hopeful.

"Roxanne, we've been through this. We just don't work together and besides, I've got a girlfriend."

               "Who?!" she snaps looking hurt.

"Mackenzie," I say,"and I'm really happy and want you to be happy, you just won't be happy with me."

"Nick you don't understand," she says.

"Don't understand what Rox?" I ask annoyed but quickly hide my anger when Kenzi walks in the room and starts digging through her bag for something.

"Nevermind," Roxie says, looking almost scared as she walks out.

"I didn't know you knew Roxie," Kenzi says sitting down next to me.

"Yeah I know her," I say sighing and running my hands through my hair. It was not like Roxie to be scared, and it had something to do with me.

"You ok?" Kenzi asks snapping me out of my trance.

"Sorry just a lot on my mind," I say shaking it off,"but it's alright cuz I've got you here." I kiss her lightly and I can tell she's not letting it go but she seems to loosen up a bit.

"You know what would cheer you up?" she asks grinning and I laugh a bit.

"If it's shooting squirrels I'm good," I say.

"Not this time," she says crawling into my lap and kissing me passionately.

"So that's how it's gonna be," I mutter falling back on the bed pulling her down with me.

I tickle her sides mid-kiss and she squeals and squirms before pinning me down so I can't tickle her anymore.

"Kinky," I hear a voice say that is definitely not Kenzi's. Her face goes bright red from embarrassment and she climbs off me and avoids eye contact with Wesley, the one who walked in.

"Really?" I ask glaring at him.

"This is my room too," he says shrugging,"but if you two are gonna have at it all night I'll sleep outside..."

Poor Kenzi looks mortified at this point.

"We aren't," I reassure him,"now did you need something or?..."

"Yeah dinners here," he says walking out.

"Why would he think we would...." Kenzi says looking a little tensed up.

"Kenzi look at me, I would never do anything you didn't want. If you don't want sex we won't, simple as that," I say,"especially this early."

"That means so much," she says sighing in relief.

"Wait are you a virgin?" I ask.

"No. Well yes. It's complicated," she says looking down,"I'm not but I didn't want to sleep with him he said he'd leave me if I didn't but then he left anyway and..." At this point she's crying so I pull her into my arms and let her cry into my shoulder.

"Kenzi I will NEVER leave you over something like that. It's not something that should be used as leverage," I say wiping away her tears.

She mutters a thank you before pulling herself together so we can head downstairs and eat the chinese takeout Graham and Daxton brought.

"Glad you two finally decided to join us," Jed says laughing as me and Kenzi join everyone else downstairs.

"If one more person looks at me like I just did something wrong heads are going rolling," Kenzi says slamming her first on the table.

"Who pissed in your cheerios?" Daxton asked looking at her worriedly.

"She's just mad cause I caught her and Nick going at it," Wesley says.

Chesney chokes on her soda and it comes out her nose.

"You caught them doing what?!" Chesney asks looking at us.

"It's not what you think," I say glaring at Wesley,"now drop it."
