****Nick POV****
After we finish at her moms place we go and get her car from the party she left it at and go over to her dads house.
We walk in and I am amazed by all the stuffed elk heads on the wall that surprisingly don't make it look scary, but more home-y. She leads me downstairs and she plops down on the old cushy patterned couch and turns on a movie.
"So are we gonna pretend nothing last night happened?" I ask,"because it seems like it's only half resolved."
"You left me at your own family party to go be with Roxie, it just hurt so I drank my pain away," she says shrugging.
"I'm worried about you Kenz."
"Why?"
"I don't mind that you drink, but you were so drunk that someone could have easily done something to you," I say.
"Not that anyone would..." she mutters.
"Don't you dare say that!" I say,"quit acting like no one wants you when you are all I want. Do you know what I was thinking the whole time I was stuck with Roxie at the hospital? I was wishing I was with you. And last night while you were crawling on me pouting because I hadn't slept with you I didn't because I love you and want it all to be right. I don't want to sleep with you when you're hammered and not capable of rational decisions. I hated seeing you like that, and alcohol isn't the answer."
"Then what is the answer?" She asks sighing and curling up into me.
"What about those cars of yours? Distract yourself with work. Or y'know come over and I'll be happy to distract you," I say smirking and she rolls her eyes but presses a soft kiss to my cheek. I can't help but stare at her. She was gorgeous even if she didn't always think so, and when she opened up she was the most loving amazing person I know.
"How about we watch a horror movie? Those always get my mind off things," she says.
"Alright," I say and she gets up and puts in a movie before curling up next to me.
Throughout the whole movie she is jumping and squealing and I just laugh and hold her tighter. Once it's over its nearly ten o'clock so I get up to leave but she grabs my hand.
"Wait Nick," she says,"can you stay?"
"You sure? I don't want to cause any more problems with your family."
"My dads out of town and I'm too scared to stay here alone, especially after that movie. I'm such a baby," she says looking at me desperately.
"Yeah I'll stay," I say.
"Thank you," she says leading me down the hall and into her room. It's very her, the walls are bare besides one wall covered in pictures of everything from hunting trips to mall selfies with her friends.
She pulls off the sweatpants of mine she has on and changes into running shorts so I can sleep in the sweatpants instead of jeans.
I change before climbing into her bed with her.
"No funny business," she says looking at me and I laugh.
"None? No kisses or cuddles or anything fun?" I ask winking at her and she smiles before shaking her head.
"I meant like I don't want to wake up with an eyebrow shaved off or whip cream in my bra."
"Tasty," I say and she rolls her eyes at me.
"You know what I meant Nicolas," she says poking me and now I'm the one rolling my eyes.
"My names not even Nicolas," I say and she smiles.
"Then what is it?"
"Nick Edward Stockton," I say and she grins.
"How adorable," she says kissing my cheek lightly.
"You're one to talk Mackenzie Uva Dawson," I say pressing my lips against hers, using my arms to support myself so I don't put all my weight on her.
She pulls back long enough to pull of my shirt then presses her lips to mine again.
"Is that how it's gonna be?" I ask laughing softly before pulling her shirt over her head.
"Jerk," she says laughing before pushing me over and climbing on top of me. I tickle her sides so she pins my hands down so I can't tickle her anymore.
"Kinky," I mutter and she starts laughing and hides her face in my neck as she shakes she's laughing so hard.
"How am I supposed to take you seriously?"
"Who said you need to?"
"What happens when I get lost in the middle of nowhere with you and someone needs to be the adult?"
"Well middle of nowhere means plenty of privacy to do adult things," I say winking and she laughs and rolls her eyes.
"You're such a teenage boy," she says.
"I'm 21," I remind her,"you're the teenager."
"18 is an adult," she huffs and I laugh and press a soft kiss to her lips.
"Of course darlin'."
