Well, I feel the need to reply to one of the most true people I have ever had the chance to know in my life. So here goes.
Dear Mo,
Oh how much I miss you. I miss our talks and walking to class with you. I miss seeing your face and hearing your voice every day. You really are someone I still hold in high regards.
Thank you so much for telling me the story of your friend. I will admit that I was reading through your chapters, trying to figure out who he was and when you and he met, and I specifically remember reading the part about how you first met him. The Amarillo High swim coach told you to go ask to share a lane with him, and you roamed the pool trying to figure out which one he was in. You asked a random guy if you could share a lane with him and he was like, "no". He was watching you struggle across the pool, laughing.
The story made me so happy to read actually. Reading through the story and seeing what you've been up to for so long made me happy. It just fascinates me that your life went on and was just as complex as mine was while we were apart.
I just want you to know that I am always here for you, whatever you need. I know how hard it is to love someone, not as close to me as you and he, but I understand in my own way. Grief is extremely hard to deal with, and I completely understand your struggles.
I'm here to listen. Tell me anything and everything. I really want to know.
Love you Dearest Mo.
