Chapter 3: The Dinner

Today was the day I was going to go to dinner at Gina's house. I hadn't text her yet just in case something important happened. It was only 2 and I was already impatient. I just decided logging on to Facebook since it would use up some of my time. I logged in and just went through my news feed, nothing special. I had a few notifications. I was invited to a party. I clicked the notification and read the date and the people that were going to be there. It said the party was tomorrow. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. After what happened last time. Ugh! Im not gonna think about it. No no no. I just clicked the maybe button.

Right when I thought I had had enough of Facebook, I got a message.

Elaine: Hey Sis. I have missed you so much and I can't wait to come back home.

Me: OMG. Hi Elaine hows it going with your work in Sydney? I cant wait for you to come back and live with me again next month. I've been feeling so lonely without you:(

Elaine: It's going well. But I have exciting news for you!

Me: What is it?

Elaine: I'm coming early today. I am getting on the plane right now and I'll get home at around 6:D When I come, we can go out somewhere!! My boss gave me an early month break, so don't ask lol.

Wow. I was really happy my sister was going to come back to live with me because it always felt weird without her. But, how do I tell her that I was looking forward to go to a dinner today? I didn't know who to cancel it. I mean, I could go somewhere with my sister tomorrow. She was going to be tired anyways. Now, I'm glad I didn't confirm with Gina yet..

After a few minutes of thinking, I really didn't want to cancel on Gina. If I had known earlier, I would've told Gina maybe next time I could've come over, but I might as well tell Elaine what I was up to today.

Me: Yay!:)) I can't wait for you to come today..but, i actually have plans to go to a dinner tonight. im so sorry. You prob need rest anyways. We'll go tomorrow. I'll pay tomorrow when we go out to eat. I promise

Elaine: Oh that's cool:) who you going to have dinner with? a boy;)

Me: Haha no. I'm just having dinner at my friends house.:)

Friend.. She was more like another mother to me. I knew Elaine didn't take it too personally. I know she would understand. I was really lucky to have someone in my life like her. Elaine understood every problem I would go through. She helped me out. We were both there for each other. We both left home and decided to be room mates so we would never lose contact. I love my sister to death.

Elaine: That's great

Me: Bye Elaine

Okay, so now that's settled. I just decided to go take a shower and freshen up. When I got out of the shower, I just sat on my bed and checked my phone to see if I had any interactions, and I did. It was from an unknown number. Someone had texted me.

Unknown Number: So you planning on coming today for dinner?(:

What? Is this Gina or? Who's number is this?

Me: Who is this?

Unknown Number: It's Luke(:

Woah. How did he get my number? He probably got it from Gina.

Me: Oh hey Luke. And yes I'm coming:))

Unknown Number: Okay. See you then. Come at 6 so we can have some extra time to just hangout. xx

Me: Sure:) Bye xx

Well i didn't know Luke wanted to talk to me. This should be interesting. I saved his number on my phone as "Luke:)"
