Lapis's P.O.V

After rehearsal and saying goodbye to Steven and Peri, I drove home to get the rest of my homework done and to get something to eat. I parked my car inside the garage, and turned it off. My house had two stories, with a small front lawn and a huge backyard with a pool, it had a light blue painted walls,  two bay side windows in the front and two ion the second floor in the back. I've been living in this house for most of my life with my parents and I've loved. I got out my car and entered through the door that leads to the kitchen.

As I enter the kitchen, I was blessed with the smell of my favorite dish,Paella. I saw my mom cooking it on the stove as I walked in.

"Hi ma!! How was your day?" She turned and gave me a smile.

"It was fine dear. How was school? Did you meet anyone special?" Why are parents so nosy sometimes. They can the best people in the whole world, but in five seconds they can turn embarrassing or nosy.

"School was great ma, and I may or not have met someone." She clapped her together and gave me a grin.

"That great to hear dear!! You should introduce me to her sometimes, but for now go clean yourself up. I smell like someone a bucket of fishes in you!" She laughed. I nudged her and walked up to my room to get some clothes to change into after my shower.

After a ten minute shower, I walked out with a pair of blue pajama pants, and a black tank top. I walked into my room to finish up some of my homework for English, and history before dinner. I love English, but I hate history with a passion since I get dates mixed up, and the boring lectures we have in class. I sighed and got done to work so I wouldn't get yelled from the teacher for not getting my work done.

I was done with my English packet and half way done with the history worksheet, when ma called me down from dinner. I rushed downstairs, and saw ma severing the food, and mom helping her out with getting drinks for the three of us. You see, I was adopted when I was three to both Bailey and Hana Lazuli. They were married for about two years when they got me. They're supportive of me in every way possible and they were the ones that got me into color guard. I still remember the game that changed me. I was ten, when mom took us to Beach City High's  football game. Ma wasn't fond of football, but she came to see the band. I was on mom shoulders when the band came out to play on the field with the color guard. I was so thrilled with the music and the routine the color guard did with the flags and sabers that mom told me I had stars in my eyes. I still laugh every time mom brings it up.

"Hey Lappy, how was your first day back?"

"It was great, mom! How was work?"

"As always, but we did get a new shipment of books in and I was able to get you the new book in you series you wanted." Mom owns a book store by the Big Donut, and it's quite popular with some of the students and the teachers at school. I help her out on the weekends when I don't have competitions.

"Thanks, mom! I can finally read The Hidden Oracle!"

She laughed at my excitement," I heard from your ma that you may or may not someone in your school? So is the lucky girl that has enchanted my daughter, and please don't tell me it's that Jasper girl, because I'm going to punch her in the face again if she shows his face here." When I broke up with Jasper, she tried everything to get me back and my mom stopped her when she tried to take by force. Mom punched her in the face so hard that it terrified Jasper enough to never come to my house again.

"Don't mom, it's not Jasper. It's a new girl at my school that moved here from Empire City. Her name is Peridot." I looked at both of my parents and they looked at me with complete interest," She's part of the band and one of the quad players. She's very nice and a bit shy with people." I was blushing a bit ass I described her to them.

"Ah, Lapis you blushing!" said my ma. They laughed and started eating to avoid blushing more," She sound lovely dear, and we can't wait to meet her one of these days." I nodded and we started our dinner with a description of our day, with my ma day to rehearsal.

After dinner, I went back upstairs to my room and finished up my homework, and got on some of my social media's to see what the latest buzz was in the world or in town. I was scrolling down when I saw a new notification form the Diamonds tag. I clicked it and saw a picture of all eight of them in a plane and with some written in the description.

'Heading to Beach City to see our cousins.'

This isn't going to end well.

Peridot's P.O.V

I was playing some Final Fantasy XV in the living room, when Aunty sat next to me. We finished dinner an hour ago, and I didn't have any homework since I finished it at school. When I got that phone call, I restless throughout the rest of practice and I couldn't think about the music, as I kept remembering that my cousins are coming to see us in three freaking days. Max was nervous when he heard the news from uncle since they called him at the car wash. I felt Aunty Rose tap my shoulder, so I paused my game and turned towards her.

"I heard from Steven, are both you and Max alright with the news." she was concerned very much since she remembered the last time all of them came over.

I let out a shaky sigh," I'm not really sure, Aunty. I'm scared and nervous at the same time also I have to preform in another competition with them again!! You know I have stage fright!! I can't do that I'm not like them!"

Aunty gave me a hug to calm me down," Ye, your are right. Your not like them, but something more wonderful then that." I looked up at her," You are a wonderful girl Peridot. Your bright, smart, kind, and talented. You should be proud of your differences and not care what othesrs think." She let go of me and patted my head.

"I bet Lapis would say the same thing if she knew."

"How do you know-?!?!" She laughed at my embarrassment as I felt my face heat up.

"I've seen how you look at her Peridot and Steven told me when he came home." Note to self, get Steven back for telling, and never tell him anything.

"She's a nice girl and I bit she likes you too, but for now get to know her." advised Rose and with that she left for her room for the remainder of the night. I went back to playing my game until I began to think about Lapis and her lavender scent from earlier. I turned off the game and head to my bedroom to sleep.

As I lay on my bed, I started to drift off to sleep with today's event in my mind like a record. I had only one thing in my mind as I slept.

The color blue...
