"I should get going." Erik says. "Let you get your sleep."

"All right." Fred says with the smile still plastered on his face. "I'll see you at school either tomorrow or Friday."

"Okay." Erik says. "Bye."

"Bye."

After Erik closed the door, he started walking away. He stops in his track when his phone starts ringing. Fear makes Erik's heart freeze. While staring ahead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He answered, still staring straight. "Hello?"

"Hello, Erik." the killer greets. "I really thought that it would take a little longer for your friends to find you."

"What was your plan?" Erik asks. "Was it just to bury me alive. And you wait for one of my friends to come close to finding me and then killing them?"

"No." the killer replies. "But it would have been nice to scratch a thirteenth tallymark to my Death Toll."

"Why did you stab Fred?"

"I wanted to tug at your heart strings, by stabbing his." the killer says.

"Why are you playing games?" Erik asks. "If you want me, come for me not my friends."

"Do you really think it would be satisfying if you were the only body to drop?" the killer asks. "Do you think it would be fun to end a game of football after the first touchdown?"

"Well, the bodies are going to stop dropping and your fun's about to run out." Erik says. "I know something about you that you don't. And if you are someone that I talk to everyday, I'll know who you are because you'll have a giant bruise on your sick-twisted face from being whacked in the face by a shovel. I will find out who you are under that mask, and when I do, you'all be sorry that you messed with me."

"Good luck with finding out my identity, because I decide when you see my face!" the killer snaps. "And that moment will be before I slice your throat and watch as your bathe in your own muddy blood."

"Good luck with that." Erik replies before hanging up.

Erik storms down the hall, darting his head when he walks pass a corridor to make sure the killer won't jump out of anywhere. Erik walks into the ER waiting room. Sheriff Porcher is conversing with Erik's friends. "How many officers do you have guarding Fred?" Erik angrily asks.

"None, at the moment." Jakob replies. "Why, what's wrong?"

Erik hold up his phone in his right hand. "The killer. He called again. He told me his plan wasn't to kill Fred during the accident."

"Then why did he stab Fred?" Phoebe asks.

"He's just having his fun." Erik replies. "And now, I think the killer is going to come after Fred like he did with Mark and Roland, so you need to have lie twenty officers guarding Fred."

"Erik, you need to calm down." Jakob says. "I'll have two officers guarding every entrance and exit and I'll have as many officers guarding the ICU ward. There is no way the killer can get in unnoticed."

Jakob's words starts soothing Erik. "You promise that Fred will be fine?"

"I promise." Jakob responds. "I'm even gonna' take the extra step to have police protection at all of your houses. Now, you kids just go home, lock your doors, don't answer the phone unless you recognize the number, and get some sleep."

"All right." Erik says. He starts walking toward the main entrance, and his friends follow. Phoebe and Erik head for her car. Gilbert, Marina, and Kat head for his car. The five wave each other goodbye and head home.
