"Actually, I just need a break." Erik says. "I'm going to go talk, get some fresh air."

Tasha turns around and gives Erik an annoyed expression.

"Don't worry. I'll be back down in a minute." Erik walks toward the stairs.

"You better." Tasha says. "Or I'll make sure myself that your thrown in a cell."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Erik responds. He climbs to the top of the stairwell and walks out the front entrance. He walks just to the side of the door and leans his back against the wall. He closes his eyes and sharply inhales and sighs.

He wishes this wasn't his life. Dealing with his mother's death. Finding the identity of a serial killer. Being accused of murder himself. This is just too much for a seventeen year old.

Erik opens his eyes. He was about to go back inside, but something stops him. There is a lamp post flickering across the street. A woman is standing in the light, but she seems to disappear when the light goes out. From what Erik can see, the woman is bleeding from her shoulder and bones are sticking out if her skin.

Erik realizes who he sees, and he's petrified. He can't move. The ghost walks across the street directly toward Erik. Erik remains still as the spirit approaches him. The woman stands in front of Erik.

"It's your fault that I'm dead." the woman whispers. "You're definitely no son of mine."

Erik doesn't reply. He can't. Instead of attempting to converse with the ghost, Erik wanted to scream. But he never got the chance when the ghost strikes Erik on the side of his head knocking him unconscious.
