I am so pissed. Jealous Of course I am, He broke me! He lied to me! I saw his hands on the shoulders of that bitch from Woodbury. Ugh! I couldn't even stand looking at him, I choose to avoid him.
I closed my journal and hid it under the bed where Maggie and I slept. Yes, I moved rooms to stay with Maggie, since she was pregnant; needing my assistants and since I needed time away from Daryl, our cells were right next to each other. Poor Glenn took my cell so I could steal his spot on the bed with Maggie.I just couldn't believe that he would lie to me. After that long talk up on the night-guard post. He opened up to me, and I to him. We shared a kiss. He kissed me. He said I was his. I thought we had something. But I guess that's what I get for being a fool. For falling too fast. For thinking we would ever be. No I guess not. Ugh!
I was pulled away from my thoughts when Maggie asked me if I could grab her some breakfast down in the kitchen. I nodded and headed out. Not really caring about about changing outta my sleeping pjs. Maggie looked at me, raising an eyebrow and giving me a "damn gurl" smile.
"Can I help you Mrs. Maggie Greene?" I asked with some attitude
"Okay Bethy, if you want to show off to Dixon's side chicks then be my guest. Otherwise You look pretty" Maggie smiled at me. She knew about Daryl and I kissing and having fling. She knew why I moved to her cell instead of my own. She knew everything. I was in fact her sister. So yeah. "Look Beth. I know what you saw was horrible and bad but... you have to consider his side of the story too. You don't know what really happened." I thought about what she said, but my stubbornness took the best of me.
"Thank you Maggie, but there's absolutely no time to worry about silly relationships." She looked disappointed that I could give up so easily on an opportunity to be happy. I sighed and looked down to see myself wearing; black spandex, long white socks, and a long sleeve that said "good year". Damn I do look good, just as if I was going to volleyball practice for school. "Thank you for the compliment Maggie. I do feel confident about myself now" She smiled at me and got up to hug me. Placing a kiss on my forehead.
I walked down the stairs and entered the dining room. I entered the kitchen and found Carol and Michonne chatting and cooking. I walked closer and leaned up against the counter.
"Hey Carol, may I get a plate for Maggie?" I asked sweetly.
"Yes you may sweetheart-" She turned around to be stopped looking up and down at my figure. "Well well Beth, I say you look like a fine young woman" she smiled and Michonne grinning in the back. I blushed and thanked her nervously. I don't know why but that boosted my confidence.
"Beth do you mind giving this plate to Daryl? He didn't come down this morning. I think he's sick." Carol sweetly asked. Oh, great. I couldn't refuse. Carol was like an aunt to me. So I politely took the plate and walked past the dining room and up the stairs.
I dropped off Maggie's plate and continued down the hall where it only grew darker and colder since hardly anyone stayed there.
I could feel my stomach tense as I drew closer to Daryl's cell. I stopped once I got to the entrance. Taking a see breath and walking inside.
"Hey Daryl, I-" there was no one inside the cell. Hmm must've gone hunting, but his crossbow was there on his bunk. Weird he would never leave it unattended. I placed the food on his bed and grabbed a napkin and pulled out a pen I found.
