"If you'll excuse me for a second, I need to use the bathroom." Scott said, after a while.

Allison's mom nodded and Scott left the dining room.

"So, apparently, you spent the day with Kylie. What did you two do?" Victoria Argent asked Kate.

A small smile appeared on Kate's lips.

"Oh, we went in the forest. We had a girl's day. It was fun, wasn't it?" Kate asked Kylie.

Kylie eagerly nodded.

"And what did you two exactly do?" Victoria asked.

It looked like she was wary. She didn't want Kate doing anything bad with the young toddler who seemed really gullible. As gullible as a kid her age should be.

"We searched for some animals, played hide and seek, Kylie even told me that she thought she saw a wolf. Isn't that right, honey?"

Kylie nodded with a small secretive smile.

"It was a big big wolf." She said.

Allison frowned while Chris and Victoria looked at each other before sending Kate a look.

"But I thought there were no wolfs in here." Allison said.

Kate stood up and placed Kylie back on the seat.

"Must've been a rogue. I am gonna go check on our other guest, in case he got lost in the house." Kate said and walked out.

It took a couple minutes before she came back.

"What took you so long?" Allison asked her aunt.

"Our guest couldn't find te bathroom. Don't worry about it." Kate waved her off.

Scot came back a while later and he looked like he was in a hurry.

"Hey, hum, we should get going, him, thanks for dinner." He made a grab for his sister, but was interrupted by Kate.

"No, no, no, no, you gotta stay for diner. I wanna know more about you." Kate said and pointed towards his seat. "Sit down."

Scott looked at her and sighed.

"Okay." He said.

"Allison was just telling us that you worked for a veterinarian." Victoria said.

"I told them that you out the cast on the dog I hit." Allison explained.

Scott smiled and looked at his phone as he got another text.

"What's your boss' view on the animal attack? Any theories?" Chris asked him.

Scott looked surprised at the questions.

"Everyone's just saying that it's a Mountain Lion." He said.

Kate scoffed.

"It would have to be a pretty big Mountain Lion." She said.

Victoria smiled at that comment.

"What do You think, Scott?" She asked.

"I don't know, we usually get cats and dogs at the vet, nothing that vicious." Scott said.

"I don't think it's a Mount Lion." Kylie said.

Victoria arched her brow at that.

"Really? Why's that?" She asked the three year old.

"Because they live on mountains. We not on a mountain."
