Snow and photos

I slept rather soundly despite the recorded message. I have to keep my wits about me and my strength up. The bells chimed for Thursday, a little higher than yesterday's pitch. Mitchell came in with a white dress and a mirror. "Here's the outfit I picked out just come out when you are ready" He set the dress and mirror down and stepped out, shutting the door behind him. I picked up the dress. It was floor length, lacy long sleeves. The lace went from the wrist up and across the chest. The rest of the dress seemed to be silky with lacing over top, the lace had a design of what looked like rose vines. I quickly changed into the dress and grabbed the mirror. Izic was right about the stitches, just red Xs down my neck. My skin was still pale, my eyes were blue today and my lips were bright red and surprisingly not dry or cracked at all. the dress was almost skin tight until my thighs where it began to poof out. It was absolutely gorgeous. Focus, just get through this and finish your plan. I left the mirror on the floor and stepped out, Mitchell stared at me like a groom would a bride, I also noticed everyone else was staring at me. The twins, Marcus, Izic and Jax who was a small ways behind Mitchell. I tried to stay calm and stood straight. "Uh, this way" Mitchell finally regained his words and began walking down the hall. He led me to the doors that led to the courtyard. I looked at him quizzically. "I thought you would want to see outside, it's snowing so it's a bit cold but it is amazing." He opened the door with a card he had in his pocket.

He was right, it was stunning. There was a light blanket of snow covering the ground and snow lightly fell from the sky. There was a fountain in the center of the courtyard and behind that was a dirt pathway with trees on both sides. Of course there were fences surrounding the entire place, but it was still beautiful. On top of the fences there was barbed wire so it ruled out any fence jumping. Damn. Mitchell grabbed a camera that I hadn't noticed on the floor. "Maybe stand in front of the fountain and act like you are catching snowflakes with your hands." He held out a pair of white heels, to keep my feet out of the snow and the dress from getting too wet. I slipped them on and walked gracefully into the frigid air. The sun shone bright despite the clouds, the air was cold yet comforting. For the first time in a while, I felt at peace. I turned to the side once I reached the fountain and posed as Mitchell had asked, I heard the camera snap a few pictures. My bells jingled five times, it was noon. I guess I had slept for a while. Mitchell gave me a thumbs up "Just look around, I've got to grab something" He went inside, leaving the doors open. I walked around the courtyard looking for holes in the fence. Finding nothing I looked to the building, it was pretty tall and red. Several windows, and in one by the doors I saw blue hair and a familiar face. I ran over to the window and came face to face with Celeste. She was smiling, she had been watching the whole time. I saw tears in her eyes, I hope she was crying at the sight of me.

I noticed a small triangle had been cut out of her ear, I held my hand up to the glass. Mostly to test the strength of it. She smiled and laughed, I watched as Mitchell entered the room she was in and saw me at the window. He waved for her to follow, she looked at me one more time, sadly and followed him. To my surprise I saw him only moments later, with Celeste behind him. She ran to me with tears now streaming down her face and hugged me tightly. Mitchell watched my face the whole time. I never shed a tear, mostly because I had run out of tears to shed. We held the hug for almost a minute before she pulled away. "What happened to you?" She said still sobbing and looking at my neck, I looked to Mitchell to explain. I hated that I practically relied on him but it would help. "I'll explain everything over lunch ladies, I have a special lunch waiting inside, where it's a bit warmer." I nodded and grabbed Celeste's hand, no way I was letting go of her right now. He led us back into the building into a nice little room, blood free. One of the few rooms here that were blood free. There was a medium sized round table and three chairs, on the table was three plates with covers on them, a vase of flowers and silverware wrapped in napkins. "I do warn you" He said as he sat down "There are knives, but if you try anything Jax is waiting outside." He pointed to the door that was closed. Celeste must have seen the look of horror on my face. "If I may ask, who is Jax" We both took our seats. "Jax is like the guard here. As Summer already knows, he was injected with stage four hormones and it went wrong. It mutated his body and he now is incredibly strong. And he also quite the sight for sore eyes" She must now understand the horror because she glanced at the door.

"But, enough about that. Lunch is served, you may now ask your questions." Mitchell said as he uncovered our plates and set the covers on the ground by him. On our plates there was a steak, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Celeste and I unwrapped our silverware and began eating, as did Mitchell. After Celeste had a few bites of steak she asked Mitchell some questions "So what's with Summer's stitches." Her voice seemed sad. "Doc went against my orders and took her voice box, along with her tongue. Which is why she also has those bell bracelets. So she can communicate a bit better" He took a bite of his steak. "So what has she been doing?" I continued eating seeing as he would explain everything. I noticed scars on Celeste's right hand and upper right arm. I will point those out after this question is answered. "She has been meeting with some of the other patients, I had wanted to keep her in a better room but Doc and another person whom I won't mention wanted her down in the cell block to meet the other patients. Which you will also get the chance to meet them all" I almost choked on my steak, I looked at Mitchell confused. He smiled "I know you lost our game but I figure It would be better for the two of you to be together, Doc only agreed so that if one of you messes up you will be able to see the consequences." And with that we ate the rest in silence. Celeste got to stay with me while Mitchell finished his requested photo shoot and then he escorted us to the cell block. Celeste's cell was right next to mine and we now did have curfew. We couldn't be with each other all the time like I had hoped but tomorrow she will be able to visit with me and she will meet Marcus and Izic and the twins. Then we can plan an escape.
