Celeste put the map down on the table and pointed out the exits. "This one is to the courtyard, this one goes to the back and this one leads to the main entrance." The twins and I studied the map. I noticed it was only of this floor, which was the main one. "Izic said we could get out if we got the key card. Then the twins could try and break the fence. If that works then we are home free. On the off chance it doesn't work it could mean death." Celeste glanced at me sadly. "I don't know a whole ton about the area surrounding us anyways, no idea where we are. Do you guys know?" Dane was the first to pipe up. "We are a mile away from the nearest town, Jax would catch up before we got halfway there." Everyone knew it was true. "Is it worth the risk. Because if not, I have nothing." Celeste gathered up the map. I didn't know any other way out. Wait, maybe underground. Like sewers or something. I tapped Jason on the shoulder and motioned to under. "Underground?" Everyone's eyes were on me and Jason now. "There actually is a sewer tunnel under us, I have a way in downstairs." We had hope now, an almost full proof plan, only issue is we didn't have a map of the sewers. "Maybe Mitchell has some. I don't know how we would get them but I'm sure he would have maps. If anyone." Celeste said, I had an idea but I didn't like it, and I knew Celeste wouldn't like it either. No one was looking at me, I shook my hand rapidly making the bells shake. Everyone yet again looked at me, I pointed to myself. "You are going to get the map?" Izic asked. I nodded, "H-w?" Marcus asked. I acted out some flirtations. "No, hell to the no! You are not getting anywhere near that creepy perv" Celeste as I guessed hated the idea. I gave her a reassuring look. "Your little looks aren't going to change my mind." She crossed her arms. "He already plans to have lunch with her today. And he is going to propose." Dane spoke quietly but everyone heard. "That makes my decision solid. No way in hell!" Celeste was so stubborn. I hated it as much as her, but we needed that map. Even if it meant a fake fiance. I shivered at the thought. I hopped of the table, a little unstable. I put my hands on Celeste's shoulders and looked her in the eyes, hoping she would get how much we needed this. She sighed, I think I got to her. "I still hate the idea, but I have nothing better. Please get us the hell out of here before you marry that perv." I nodded, now that she won't try to stop me it was time to think of a way to get him to have lunch in his office.
We all went downstairs to make it look like we had been playing chess the whole time, even Celeste saying things like "Again! That's fifty times now!" When my bells chimed five times for noon Mitchell came down. "Summer, how about some special lunch. On me?" I took a deep breath, it's time. I stood up and walked up the stairs, trying to look good. I met him at the railing by my door. "Where would you like to eat." I used a bit of sign language that Izic taught me to spell out office. He understood. "Now, why would you want to eat in a cramped place like my office?" I motioned to myself, shook my head and then motioned to my eyes. He understood I meant that I've never seen it. "Very well, follow me" He didn't seem suspicious which was good. He led me to the elevator, we went up one floor. I followed him and studied my surrounding. We stopped at a room that said security. Inside there were monitors with different area displayed. Luckily for us, the room we discussed the plan in was not on any monitor. Mitchell set up a table with candles and food, where he got that stuff from is beyond me. He pulled out a chair for me which I sat in. I looked around, pretending to take it all in. But I found what I was looking for, the maps. I saw one for the other floors, the main floor missing. When Mitchell's back was turned I swiftly grabbed the sewer's map. I was able to silently fold it and stuff into my leggings. He sat down and uncovered our lunch. "Please, enjoy" He began eating. Today's lunch was a lobster tail with fried shrimp and egg drop soup. I looked at him, as to ask what the occasion was, then began eating myself. It was quite good, but I knew what was coming next. "What? I can't have a nice meal with my favorite patient." Luckily he sat across from me rather than next to me.
I finished the meal to the last drop of soup, It was great. But I didn't like being pampered while my friends were down in a dirty cell block playing chess and eating mac and cheese. He stood up, setting his napkin on the table. I got chills as he grabbed something from in his desk drawer. He came and stood by me, "Summer Nichole Young" He got down on one knee, shivers ran down my spine. Stay cool and act happy, you can do this. That one year of speech and drama wasn't for nothing. "Will you marry me?" He opened a small box to show a black ring with a red jewel in the middle, gotta say that ring was definitely my style. I pretended to be overjoyed and held out my hand nodding. He slipped the ring on, creep knew my size perfectly. What I didn't expect was for him to stand up and kiss me, I didn't pull away as to not show him I absolutely despised him. He finally moved away and helped me stand. "I'll get you some better clothes to wear, and it'll be later this week. I've some stuff outside to deal with. I assume you know your way back to your room?" I nodded, eager to run out. "Oh, and feel free to explore. But avoid the top floor." He sat at his desk shuffling paper. I left the room calmly and shut the door. Finally out. I wiped my mouth, disgusting. I made my way to the elevator. I didn't want to see any more of this damned forsaken place. I went to the main floor and went straight to Celeste who was on the lower floor pacing. Everyone was super worried obviously. I rushed down the stairs. "So?" I patted my leg and pointed up the stairs, everyone rushed to follow me to our extra room. I pulled the map out and spread it on the table once I got into the room. Now we had the map, we could get out. I hope we get out quickly, I can't fake marriage too.
