"Ah........Ah.......Ah" I began to wheeze as I ran as fast as I could away from Diesel and Natalie. I was running so fast that I ended up running into the wall. "Ouch! Damnit!" I cried rubbing my head. I stood up to see Diesel running over to me. "Sky?! You okay." Diesel asked me as he inspected my head. "Yeah, I'm sorry for that." I apologized as I walked with them. Diesel leaned to my level and whispered in my ear. "I know you were watching us; you care about her as much as I do. If I were you, I would have stayed and watched too." He chuckled as we walked to the others. "What are you two up too?" Violet asked as the others gathered around me and Diesel.

"There's someone here to rescue us." Diesel said smiling. "No way!" Zoe smiled as she clapped her hands together. "Show us! Where are they?" Grover asked. Diesel began to lead the way as we all followed. After a few moments we saw Natalie standing next to a tall man wearing a blue suit and had lots of equipment. "Oh my god!" I gasped as I ran over to Natalie and hugged her tight. "Thanks for staying." She whispered in my ear. I blushed as the thought of Diesel making out with Natalie flashed through my mind again as I smiled. "How many are you?" The man asked looking at all of us gathered around. "We're down to seven." Violet answered with a sad look on her face. 'LeShawn.' I thought holding back a tear.

I looked over at Zoe who still looked very depressed. I silently made my way to her and held her hand. She looked up at me and smiled. "Look! We're all thirsty here. We're out of water." I explained. The man nodded and pulled out a walkie talkie. "Mercury, open all mains at sector 17, over." I looked at the man with wide eyes as I realized something. They turned all the water off here! "Why'd they shut it off?" Diesel asked the man as we all smiled at the thought of having our water returned to us. "They had no choice; they diverted every supply to fight the fires." The man explained to us. "Well, thank you for putting the water in good use." I said sighing.

The man smiled before giving the group a serious look. "Now, which one of you got on the radio?" We all looked over at Barrett before he stepped up and cleared his throat. "That was me. It was my call." Barrett explained. I shifted in my position as the man came closer to Barrett. "What's your name?" The man calmly asked Barrett. "Barrett." He replied with in the same calm voice. I watched as the man pulled out an IPad and began to swipe on the screen before looking back at us and smiling. "Well Barrett, you called in the cavalry." The man explained. We all began to cheer and clap for Barrett. Diesel hugged Natalie, Violet gave Zoe a high five and I gave Barrett a peck on the cheek. "I need all your names. Then go get a drink, we leave in five minutes." The man explained. We all lined up and told the man each of our names. I was the last to tell him mine. "Skylar Autumns. Do you know if anyone in my neighborhood survive the chemical explosion?" I asked him once he typed my name down. "I'm not sure. I will let you know once I find out Skylar." He told me as he began to walk away.

"Um, I never got your name sir!" I yelled out as he walked away. I just shrugged my shoulders and went towards the bathroom. I opened the door to see Grover, Diesel, Barrett and Zoe there drinking tons and tons of water. "Man, water has never tasted so good." Grover moaned drinking more water. "The brain from downtown man." I chuckled punching his arm lightly. "Smile, nerd. You did a good thing." Diesel told him as he and Grover left leaving me, Zoe and Barrett. "I always knew you were trying to help us." Zoe smiled patting his shoulder. "Yeah, you did a good thing Barrett. I'm proud of you." I sighed hugging him from behind. "You two were one of the few who did." Barrett told us as I let go. "We were the only ones." I giggled and Zoe nodded. "Thank you." Barrett told us as he walked out of the bathroom.

I smiled and looked at myself in the mirror. It's hard to believe that I had long blonde hair and clean skin weeks ago. Dry blood was stained on my face and my eyes had bags under them. My short blonde hair was messy and all over the place and I didn't have a hair tie on me at the moment. My blue tank top was now faded and a darker color from the blood along with my shorts. The extremely large black and white flannel rested around my waist and had a few specks of blood and dirt all over the sleeves. "Hard to believe that a week ago, things were pretty normal." I told Zoe who stood next to me. "Yeah, normal." She mumbled. I looked over to see her looking at her phone. She was looking at a picture of her and LeShawn from a dance.
