Your Our Last Hope ( Vampire Knight Fan-fic )

Before This all Happened

( Mizuki p.o.v )

I open my eyes as I hear the soft melody of the birds singing as I lock eyes with my beloved. I'm here again, this is the place. I'm here with my precious lover. His lilac eyes shine with life as he chuckled and his silver hair sways in the breeze lightly and I smile at his cuteness.

"Kaname was looking for you, I didn't think I'd find you here. Come get up my beloved" he says as his voice makes my heart flutter as I say "It's Beautiful, I only want to be here with you" his eyes soften as he puts his arms on either side of my head as he leans down and presses his warm lips to mine. "Don't try to distract me, we have to get ready for the war." He says and kisses my nose as I sign.

He pulls me up as I smile and see Kaname watching us as I look at our people. "Ukyo, I told you to get my sister not seduce her" Kaname says punching my beloved gently as they laugh. The wind blows as the sun shines brightly on us as I look at the sky as Kaname says "Mizuki you are our  last hope" I turn around as I look at my brother as I nod and look at Ukyo who looks at me with a serious face. I shake my head and say "No, I am not. There will always be hope as long as we remember, Kaname you will lead them and I will take care of the last abyss."

They nod as Kaname looks down at me and smiled "I've watched you shine brighter than the sun and I'm so happy that I fell in love with you, I'll do anything for you...But you belong with him. Now I'll protect you and your beloved, I'll never give up on you. Mizuki good luck" he says and hugs me gently as my eyes close as I cuddle into him and say "One day when this is all over I'll be there for you, thank you so much. I hope that one day I'll be able to soothe your pain, but until that day comes don't give up have faith."

I caress his large hands as I turn and head to the castle of the last abyss and see my beloved waiting patiently. He holds his hand out as I grip it firmly as Kaname and the others fight against our enemy as we walk cautiously. He stops as we see the large castle as it looks old and weary, his grip tightens as footsteps are head and we're surrounded by assassins.

"Go, I'll fight them back" he says as he looks at me with a stern face as I argue back but he holds my cheek and kisses my lips softly with love. "You need to do this, I'll be fine I promise. Everything we've done, we did to protect the world. But now let's do this to protect our future, you are such a beautiful light in this world so shine brighter than the moon and sun. No matter what happens don't turn back, protect the future, I love you Mizuki" he says and pushes me as they surround his tall figure as I stay frozen in place.

I snap out of my gaze as I turn and around and glance back and see his lilac eyes watching my small form as I run into the castle. The doors close loudly as I look at the chained up door as I feel a strong presence coming from behind the doors. I break the chains as I slightly touch the handle and it swings open as a gust of air makes me cover my face as I look at the last abyss.

"This whole time we thought you where a pureblood but your just a force that's afraid. All you want is to be free" I mutter as the glowing ball turns into a small child. It backs away with red eyes and long black hair that reaches the floor as I say. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you.... I need you to do me a favor I want you to hide and I'll tell people that I killed you, I don't want to hurt anyone. " It nods as it stands and stumbles and runs into the shadows.

I look at the shadows as scents of blood hit me like a wave but two stand out out of the others. I run quickly and run to the entrance as I bust through the doors. My eyes widened at the destruction and despair as I look for silver hair, I see several of my comrades as I cry silently and start hyperventilating. "No, I failed....I couldn't, I couldn't save you all. I'm so sorry" I cry as I hear a chuckle.

I look around and see Kaname with blood and dirt on him. I jog towards him and grasp his large hands as he continues to chuckle until he coughs up blood. "Onii-san, please save your strength" I say frequently as he weakly smiles. "Idiot..You didn't fail..We just failed to protect this land" he says as I cry and shake my head "No, you all protected many humans and vampires. So please just hold on"

"We both know that I won't be able to make it, so please promise me something" he says weakly as I nod holding his hand tightly. "Promise me....That you'll..Walk away from this place..And live on..And find a new future to protect." He says as his body starts cracking and I nod and say "I promise.. I'll protect the future I'll find a way to be with all of you again and we'll be together." He smiles as he shatters.

Hot tears roll down my place cheeks as I scream in sadness as I hit the floor. "Kaname.. Kaname" I repeat his name as I cry. My beloved!! I raise to my feet and yell "UKYO!!!" I hear footsteps as I turn around and see him standing there. I smile and run into his arms as we stumble back. "I'm so glad I found you, but I've reached my limits" he says as he falls back. I gasp and hold him as he breathes harshly, he smiles and strokes my cheek softly.

"I guess I messed up, I'm sorry. We can't be together anymore. But I'll use my last breathe to say I love you" he says as he holds my cheek "I'm so happy I can't stop crying, there is one thing that makes me want to stay. That is my desire to fullfil our dream, but I'm sure you can do it. After all your my beloved" he smiles as tears roll down his cheek "Even though I'm so worthless... Thank you for loving me! This has truly been a wonderful life! Thank you, I love you Mizuki"

He reaches forward as our lips connect as we part I see his smiling pale face as I cry and hug his body. "This isn't fair...You can't leave me, we where gonna have a family. We would've been so much happier, so please come back" I cry as I feel small hands touch my hair. I look up and see the last abyss watching me. "You let me live, and now I want to return the favor" I sniffle and say "Please just let me be" he shakes his head and says "Let's fuse, we'll share the same body and mind. We'll change the future and you'll be able to see your beloved again, but we'll have to sacrifice for this power" it says as I think.

We'll be able to be with Ukyo and all the others again. And we'll create a new future. "Please...Let me fix all of this" it nods as our bodies glow and it's body shatters as a light stabs into me and I gasp. We'll be together my beloved..
