He sat alone. The walls were as senseless as ever, emitting no light or sound. The padding kept any noise from entering the cell. And he learned during the first few nights inside it that no sound escaped. Doctors came and went, making sure he was stable. After a few weeks, he wasn't sure of his location. After a few months, he wasn't sure of his name. One doctor said, "Eddie, why haven't you eaten your food?" To which the boy had no response. He could not speak for whoever Eddie was. Pondering this for a few hours he came to realize that his name was Eddie. His last name was-? Nothing... because he was nothing. Stuck in the padded cell for God knows how long... trapped in the never ending darkness with only his thoughts for company. Thoughts. 'Never on your side' he thought. After a year, maybe two, maybe more, all that was on his mind was death. To kill his captors, to kill the people who sentenced him to life here. He looked down at his arms- his eyes had grown accustomed to the dark at this point- and stared at the scars. He wondered about himself every day. Why was he here? Why did he do that to himself? Where was his family-did he even have one? He asked these questions to the doctors but never got a satisfying answer. Until a nurse let the word 'murder' slip. Murder...what a beautiful word. A word that attributes to blood, gore, death. Thats all he wanted. The world to burn. Everything and everyone to die. So they could experience the same darkness he sat in every single day. And then...suddenly...it happened.
