Chapter 7 ~ Boarding the Ship

Also I found that gif on tumblr... Mina was like half asleep and Jihyo started to film her... I think it's so cute... I had to add it sorry...

The whole situation was funny but there was only one thought running through my mind at that point.

'Mina actually likes me too... Should I ask her out?'

That thought stuck with me the entire day. We sat and laughed about what happened the first day Mina arrived but then it was time to unpack our stuff as the sun was nearly up. We first went around the house closing all of the curtains so the sunlight wouldn't burn our eyes. Next, we all got a bit anxious about people coming in so we locked all the doors to the place from the inside. Then we had to chose bedrooms. I went up to look at the rooms first.

After I had a look I came back down the stairs. I turned to Jihyo and Mina who were sitting on the sofa that was placed opposite the front door. "Girls... Good news... Or bad news... It depends how you take it..." "What is it?" Jihyo was the first to ask but Mina pulled the same facial expression as Jihyo, clearly wanting to know the same answer.

"There are only two bedrooms... Two of us will have to share..." Mina's eyes lit up as she stared into mine and Jihyo was just excited for us. "So it's decided then..." I began. "I will share with Jihyo and Mina you will be on your own..." Mina's face just dropped into a sulk. She knew I was only joking but played along anyway. Jihyo just burst out laughing.

I took quick steps and made it down the rest of the steps of the stairs with ease. When I got to the girls I picked up my bag as I spoke. "You know I'm only joking!" Mina's fake sulk turned into a genuine smile. "Get your stuff and I'll show you up to the rooms." They picked up their bags and followed me up.

"Jihyo. You're in the one closest to the stairs as that only had a single bed in it. Mina. You and I will be in this one." I said pointing towards the door at the end of the corridor. I started to push the door open as Jihyo went into her room. "However, this room only had one king sized bed. We will have to share the same bed Mina..."

I walked to one side of the bed and put my bag down. Mina closed the door behind her and placed her bag down the other side of the bed. I climbed onto the bed to see how comfy it was. Not like vampires sleep anyway. We don't need to sleep to stay alive therefore when we get transformed our bodies lose the ability to sleep.

Despite this, we still like to have beds just for something to relax in. Mina started to crawl onto the other side of the bed as she spoke. "Oh! I don't mind! Just means I can cuddle more!" So when she lay down on the bed she immediately rolled over to me and snuggled into my side.

We stayed like that for a few more minutes in a comfortable silence until Mina spoke again. "Er..." That was all she said and then she went silent again. I sat up a little confused and she did the same. "Er..." She repeated herself. "Mina? Are you OK? Did you want to say something?"

"Yes... Y/n... I do but I have no idea how to..." She stood up and started walking round one side of the room. She scratched the back of her neck as she spoke again. "Y/n... Ever since I walked into Edge House... Well you know what happened but... I couldn't help but stare and stare at you... I was and still am amazed at how beautiful you are... Er... I love the way you care... I love the way you look... And I love the way you love me... Even if we aren't even girlfriends..."

She stopped walking and re-took her place on the bed... She stared into my eyes and said "That's why I wanted to ask... Y/n... With you be my girlfriend?" I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. The answer was yes. Definitely! But words just failed me. My mind was going a mile each and every second. However, because I wasn't replying, Mina was getting worried. So I just jumped over to her side of the bed and into her lap.

I hugged her as hard as I could. Then I started to cry. Not in sadness. Because it had only been just over two weeks since I met Mina but I've felt like a massive part of my heart was missing. So to know that that gap had been filled, it was the best feeling in the world. My head had been resting on her shoulder but I lifted it up so our foreheads were together.

"I'll take that as a yes then?" Mina whispered to me. As my words were still stolen from me, I just nodded. We stared into each others eyes for a few seconds to to confirm what the other was thinking. Then we realised that we were both thinking the same thing. So we both leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on each others lips.

At the exact moment our lips touched for the first time as girlfriends, our other house mate walks in. "Guys when are we eat-" She cut herself off when she saw us. We immediately pulled away from each other and I placed my head back on her shoulder where it was before. Jihyo just stared at us not really knowing what to do or what was even going on.

That was till Mina spoke.

"Jihyo... Meet my girlfriend..." I giggled a little and smiled as I was happy to hear her call me her girlfriend. Jihyo just screamed. "OMG YASSSSSSS!!!! MY SHIP HAS SAILED!!!! SHIP..." She paused to think of a ship name for us. "SHIP Y/S/N HAS SAILED!! CAPTAIN JIHYO WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE BOARDING THIS SHIP!!"

Then she bent one of her arms, placed her head in the crook that was created by her elbow and stretched the other out fully the other side of her. "Jihyo why the dab?" I asked half laughing as she replaced her arms by her side. She just shrugged her shoulders and went back to the dab position.

She walked out of the door sideways. Her stretched out arm leading the way out of our room. "I'll leave you to in here to make out or whatever..." Just before her body was almost completely out of sight, she grabbed the door handle and shut the door behind her.

I just turned to Mina and we both cracked up laughing. My arms were still around her neck and hers were still round my waist. When we had both calmed down, we froze and looked into each others eyes. Neither of us were talking but Mina wanted to ask one last thing.

"Well... Could we make out?"
