Jamie's POV /// time skip
It was now March and Alex and I were closer than ever, knowing that I would be leaving soon. I haven't officially gotten my acceptance letter, but everyone's already planning on me leaving at the end of July. Classes officially started in late August, but we wanted to get me settled before then.
Alex was going to spend about a week with me in New York and made sure I was settled in and everything. We were already looking at apartments, but we weren't going to decide until I got my letter, which was supposed to be soon.
Currently, Alex and I were in the kitchen, making homemade noodles for dinner tonight. Matthew, Jack, Kade, Joey, Oliver, Isaac, Cody, Melissa, Gavin, and Benji were all coming over for dinner. We were going to celebrate that the alphas and us are graduating in a few weeks.
"No, baby, don't roll it out like that! You need flour!" I yelled, pulling his arm away from the chilled pasta dough.
"I don't know what I'm doing!" He told me and I chuckled. I leaned up to him and pecked his lips.
"Just go get me the flour from the cabinet beside the fridge." I told him, prying the dough from off the marble counter in the kitchen. The bag of flour was set next to me and Alex went over to his phone.
"Matthew said that they should be here in under an hour." He told me.
"Alright, do you wanna go check the mail for me then?" I asked, sprinkling the white flour over the counter.
"Babe, I checked the mail an hour ago." Alex told me.
I sighed. "I just want my letter, Alex. I wanna know if I got accepted or not."
"I know you do, but you just need to be patient. I know you got in, I just know you did." He told me as he watched me roll out the dough using the rolling pin.
We heard the front door open and my mom walked in with a couple grocery bags. "Hey, Mom. How was work?"
"Good, I brought home some fancy wine from the restaurant and they gave me some bread that would go with the noodles great."
"That's great."
"Did you work today?" Mom asked me, putting the wine in the fridge to chill.
"No, someone needed an extra shift." I told her as I started cutting the dough into thin noodle strips.
"Alright, awesome." She said, cutting the bread up in slices before sprinkling olive oil and garlic on it.
"Mom, you can finish dinner, right? I wanna go shower before they start showing up." I asked.
"Yeah, I got it. Go shower." She said and Alex followed me up the stairs.
"Do you wanna shower with me?" I asked my mate as I pulled my shirt off.
"Who could say no to that?" He said, going into the bathroom to start the water.
I walked into the bathroom, wrapping my arms around his waist. He sighed in contentment when I set my head on the back of his shoulder. He set his hands on the top of mine, gripping them in his.
"I love you so much." He whispered to me.
"I love you too."
We stripped down and got into the shower. He massaged the shampoo in my hair and he scared me when he pecked my lips as I was squeezing my eyes shut.
"Warn me before you do that, you dick." I said, chuckling.
"Well, sorry, I just won't kiss you anymore." He chuckled.
