Chapter nineteen

"Tony we've searched everywhere" Natasha says rubbing her eyes at two in the morning

"There must be someplace we haven't searched" Tony says pacing in the Avengers headquarters living room. His hair is wild and uncombed, dark bags lay under his eyes; under everyone's eyes.

They've been searching for over a week with no results, they're all on edge especially Isabel's brothers who feel absolutely helpless.

"Maybe Thor will come back with good news this time" Clint yawns and lays down on the couch, his feet on Natasha's legs, she pushes him off in exasperation.

"Maybe if he let me help we could have found her by now" Loki growls his green eyes shine with anger

"Well maybe if you were trusty worthy Thor would let you help" Steve grumbles, Loki shoots him an irritated glance and continues pacing. A bright light washes over them, Clint shields his eyes until the light dies.

"What did you find?" Steve asks when Thor steps in his cape billowing behind him.

"We've searched five more planets and another sector of the cosmos and still nothing" he sounds beat down Loki grumbles and closes his hands into fists

"You're not trying hard enough!" Loki yells and runs his hand through his hair

"Calm down Loki" Steve rolls his eyes at him, Loki strides toward him and grabs him by the front of his shirt

"Don't tell me to calm down" he growls their noses are inches from touching, a fire burns in Loki's eyes will Steve's harden

"This will not help us" Thor grumbles and pulls them apart Loki breathes deeply and tries to reign in his anger

"Hello?" Tony says putting his phone to his ear, his brows scrunch together "you received what?" Loki goes to Tony's side his heart speeding up

"What, who was it?" Pietro asks having just entered the room, his hair is disheveled from his short nap, Tony holds up a hand and when he finishes talking he hangs up and stares at his phone in confusion

"That was Chris" Tony says "he said that he received a text from Isabel"

"What?" Nat asks standing up

"What did it say?" Pietro asks

"Help me" Tony says "that's all it said he says it just arrived to him and when he tried to call her she was out of range of the service"

"We already know she isn't on earth" Pietro says "how does this help us?"

"It means she's alive" Loki says relieved

"I can make something to track her phone signal" Tony mumbles and leaves the room "Thor!" He yells after him Thor follows him out, seconds later Tony returns and grabs Banner by the scruff of his neck

"I also need you" he says and they disappear once more

"Now what?" Loki asks

"We wait" Natasha replies and they sit down and wait for Tony, Bruce and Thor to create a miracle
