That evening was quite uneventful. It consisted of you trying on your dress to show Zach and his girlfriend, and then trying it on again 2 hours later so Melody and Ondrej could see it. They all thought it looked great on you, and you had to agree.
You couldn't help but notice that both times you tried on the dress Jacob was staring at you. He actually seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Not that it bothered you overly much. You'd come to terms with your feelings for him, finally admitting to yourself that you did like him as more than just a friend.
The 6 of you hung out in the apartment that night, having a just dance tournament on the wii, which Ondrej had won. You would've beat him but he had those goalie reflexes and flexibility, allowing him to do some dance moves that you couldn't. Oh well. At about 11 Ondrej and Mel took off, leaving you, Jake, Zach, and his girlfriend.
"I'm going to bed, it's gonna be an early morning," Zach said as he retreated to his room.
"me too," Jake said, going into his. You and Zach's girlfriend Bianca stayed up and talked til about 1:30. The two of you had grown closer lately since you had been staying with Jake and Zach, and she was there most of the time.
"So what's going on with you and Jake?" she asked.
"Well I'm not sure to be honest... but I do like him." you tell her quietly, not wanting Jake to hear if he was still awake.
"YES!! I KNEW IT!!" she screamed.
"B, Shhh! You'll wake them up!" you whisper-yelled at her.
"Sorry, I'm just so pumped!" she happily whispered.
"Why are you so pumped?" you were curious.
"Because Zach says all Jake talks about to him and the other guys is you! Oh My GOD! You two could go to the banquet together!! We'll all sit at the same table with Ondrej and Mel too! Please! It'll be so fun!" she said excitedly, getting louder with every word.
"If he asks me, I'll say yes. How about that?" you say, making a compromise. No way in hell were you going to ask Jake. What if he said no?
"DEAL!" she squealed excitedly.
"I'm going to go to bed, goodnight," you told her as you walked off toward Jake's room.
"Night!" she said as she went into Zach's.

The next 3 days the guys were gone on a short road trip to Alberta. They were playing the Flames tonight and the Oilers the next, then they'd be back Friday morning. The banquet was Friday night, so they'd probably be tired, but they still had to go. You and the girls gave them no choice.
You and Bianca woke up around 10 the next morning, seeing that the boys had already left. You weren't upset though, because they had woken you both up at 6 am to say goodbye. Jake even kissed your forehead. You just couldn't tell if it was meant to be friendly or more.
After telling Bianca about it, she decided you two had to call Mel.
"Hello?" Mel answered, sounding wide awake.
"Mel! Come over now! We have some gossip for you!" Bianca excitedly yelled, and hung up the phone.
20 minutes later you were letting Mel into the apartment, telling her excitedly about the forehead kiss and discussing what it meant. After talking about that for about 45 minutes, Bianca decided that you were all going to the spa for mani-pedis, facials and massages, so you'd all look your best for the banquet in a couple of nights.
The three of you talked about Jake, Zach, and Ondrej while you got your spa treatments. You also gossiped about Natalie, and how her and Evander had moved in together.
"Ew, gross. They can have each other." you said in disgust. You didn't even care about either of them anymore. You were happy with Jake, and whatever you guys had.
"Honey, are you sure you're okay with that? You don't have to pretend to be okay if you're not." Mel said.
"No Mel, I really am. Promise. I appreciate your concern though. Both of you. I'm actually quite glad this happened. I got Jake out of it, sort of. And I got a better friendship with you girls! Way better than what I had with Nat." you explained, smiling at the two of them. You had became a trio ever since the Evander incident a month or so back, and you couldn't be happier with the new found friendship.
After you paid for the treatments, you suggested that you all ordered sushi, and that you go back to the apartment for a sleepover.

The three of you spend the nights the guys were away together, always spending the night at Jake and Zach's apartment. You went shopping for accessories for the banquet, since you all had your dresses, and you gossiped, laughed, and even went to your yoga class. You had kept going regularly to stay in shape, and it helped with the stress of life. Finally it was Friday morning, the day of the banquet. The three of you jumped into the car and headed to the airport, where the guys waited for you to pick them up.
