Chapter 13: Nani?

Note: 'Nani' is 'What' is Japanese.

  I open my eyes. I sit up and look around. "Nani?" I look at my hands, am I dead? I hear snoring and I look over at a couch. "Na-" My throat started burning as I tried to talk. I started coughing uncontrollably. It hurts. I feel a hand rubbing my back. I look up, "Gra-" I started coughing again. "Nice to see your okay, sorta." I look at him and smile. He smiles back, "You should get some more sleep." He checks my forehead, "You're still pretty cold."
   I then remembered and slapped him. "Ow! What was that for!?" I cover myself with my blanket, "Pervert! You and Natsu stripped me without my permission!" I say and then start coughing again. Gray looks away, "How did you-" We here a loud snore and look over at Natsu. I laugh. Gray stands up, "Well, I'm gonna go before Natsu gets paranoid and gives me a headache." I nod and wave, he leaves my room and it was silent. I lay back down looking at Natsu. I rub my neck. It hurts... Natsu starts to move and I close my eyes.
  I slightly open my eyes to see. He was gone. I fully open my eyes and sit back up. Suddenly, Natsu hugs me, I look at him. "N-" I stop before my throat starts hurting again. I rub my throat. He just stayed silent hugging me. He sits on my bed and keeps hugging me. "Na-" "Shh, don't hurt your throat Luce..." he whispers. I slowly start hugging back. I held onto his shirt. "Na-" "Please...don't leave me again." I try to see his face but it was buried in my chest. I didn't care at this point.
   He looks up at me and my eyes widen. Natsu, you're crying... "Don't leave me! Don't do that Lucy!" He buries his face into my chest again crying. I start crying too, but I couldn't say anything. It hurts too much. Natsu keeps crying into my chest and I cry with him. He looks up at me and sighs. He wipes my tears away and lays his forehead on my forehead. "I'm....glad your safe." I smile and hug him. "Sl...ee..p next...to..m..e." I try to say. He picks me up and sets me on his lap. "You need sleep," he says.
    I lay my head on his shoulder. I gently tug on his shirt and he looks down at me. I look up at him with my puppy dog eyes. Natsu blushes and looks away. I grab the side of his face and turn him towards me. Natsu looks at me, "Yes?" I open my mouth, "Don't. You'll hurt your throat again." I close it and pout. He smiles, "You're adorable and all but you need to sleep." He stands up and sets me on the bed. I hold onto his shirt. "Lucy-" I started to make small whimpers.
  "G...om...en..as...ai!" I say. I lift my arms and try to wipe my tears away. "Go....mena...gomenasai!" I hold onto my neck making sure I don't cough. I cried into my hands. I look up and he was gone. Nani.... My eyes tear up again. I kept crying into my hands. "Lucy..." I look up to see Natsu sitting in front of me. "Gomen-" "Stop." Natsu says.  He cups my face and kisses me. "You're okay..." he says. I hug him, "Natsu!" Natsu pets my hair. He lays down on the hospital bed and I lay on top of him.
  "Sleep" he says. I nod and close my eyes. "I'm sorry," he apologizes. I look up at him confused. Natsu looks at me, "For...not talking to you at the fair..." I look down sadly, right...the fair. "Sorry." I smile and look up at Natsu. I kiss his cheek and he pouts. I sigh and kiss him properly. He smiles, "You're good." I  blush and lay back down. "Night," he says. I nod and close my eyes. He waits for me to fall asleep. As soon as he heard my soft breathing he fell asleep calmly.
