Chapter 15: My Voice

[Normal P.O.V]
    It's been weeks since anyone has seen or heard of Lucy. Minerva had to cancel a lot of shows because of her illness. Natsu and Levy go to the hospital everyday to see if they'll let them into her room but no luck. Today was the music festival. Natsu and Levy were discussing about how it isn't fair that Lucy isn't there with them. Natsu had to find another song, a solo. Mrs. Yukino walks into the classroom. "Natsu you're going up soon."
  He nods and looks over at Levy, "Guess I'm going next." Levy smiles, "Good luck out there." He nods and walks to the auditorium. He waits backstage for him to come up. "Alright, thank you Lisanna Strauss and now let's give it up for Natsu Dragneel!" Mrs. Yukino announced. Natsu walks up on stage as everyone clap and cheer. He sits on the stool and clears his throat. He starts:

  Natsu realized that he was crying. He stands up and bows. Everyone started to cheer in excitement. Natsu heads back to class and gets his stuff. "Oh, you're not going to stay for the rest of the festival?" Erza asks eating strawberry cake. "Nah, I'm gonna go wait at the hospital..." She sighs, "Natsu, I know you're worried about her...we all are. She would want us to have fun, not sulk." Natsu sighs, "I know..." "Lighten up," Erza says finishing her cake.
  Natsu nods and sets his stuff down. They go outside and go play the festival games. Gajeel won Levy s worm with glasses plush at 'Whack A Worm.' Erza and Mira were racing for a deluxe meal everyday at school. Natsu was leaning on a wall watching them all. "Maybe I should win Lucy something..." He walks to one of the games. 'Dunk' basketball. He plays and wins easily and his prize was a huge teddy bear.
     Natsu sighs and goes inside to get his stuff. Natsu was leaving the front gate. "Natsu San!" Levy yells. Natsu turns around to see Levy and Gajeel. "Gajeel Kun will give us a ride to the hospital," Levy says. "Uh, okay." We head to Gajeel's car and head to our location. After Gajeel dropped them off they went through the same routine. They ask the front desk if they could visit, they go and wait and they usually get rejected and get sent home.
   The nurse tells them that she isn't well yet and that they'll call them when she's ready. "Can you at least give her this," Natsu says handing the nurse the teddy bear he won. She smiles, "Of course. Have a good evening." Natsu and Levy head out and call Gajeel. A few minutes later he gets there and takes them home. It was quiet other than the radio being on. Fans are now worrying and asking 'Where is Celeste Heart?' Natsu turns off the radio and 'tsks' "So bunny girl, still can't see her?" Gajeel asks. Levy sighs, "No, I'm worried." Natsu nods in agreement.
  "She'll be fine guys, she's a tough girl if she dealt with Natsu and Lisanna bullying her since middle school." Natsu frowns, "I bullied her...that's right..." Gajeel looks over at him, "She's over it by now." Levy checks her phone, "What the...." Natsu looks back at her, "What?" "L-Lucy, s-she texted me!" Natsu focuses on Levy. "What did she say?!" Levy tears up, "Y-You don't want to hear it..." Natsu frowns, "Just...read the damn messages!" Levy jumps in shock and holds back her tears.
     She reads out loud:

It hurts.....I can't move.
Levy San? Help me...I don't want to be here. I wanna go home...They say surgically removing my vocal cord will save my life. I....I don't want that! I won't be able to talk....to laugh....to sing! I want to leave...I wanna go home....Levy...Onegaishimasu![It means Please] I...I don't want this surgery. GET ME OUT OF HERE! THEY'RE HERE! T-They're numbing me....sayounara...

  Gajeel turn back to the hospital. "What are you doing?" Levy asks crying. "Ain't no way we're gonna let bunny girl get her vocal cord be taken out." "That's right!" Natsu says angry. They all ran into the hospital and demanded to get in. They declined and Gajeel threatened them, "Don't make me ask again!" The worker shakes in fear, "5th floor, 2nd door to the left!" They run to the elevator and head up. "We're coming Lucy!"
