(Shane's POV)
I was scared to death. I knew my dad would go crazy now that he found out that I'm gay. He'd try and kill me, I know he will. My dad just stood there in shock. Probably planning my death. Now I'm freaking terrified.
I look at Joey and whisper to him, "go upstairs and lock the door." He did as I told him and finally my dad broke the silence.
Dad: So our really a fag, huh ?
I hated that word. Hearing it made me angry.
Shane: Yea but why do you care ?! You don't care about anyone but yourself !
I probably shouldn't have yelled. He shoved me against the wall causing me to bang head.
Dad: I guess I'll just have to knock the gay outta you !
(Joey's POV)
*Bang!*
I'm friggin' freaking out ! Shane's dad is going to beat the life out of him and I can't do anything about it. I mean I could but Shane told me to stay up here because he wants me to be safe. Well I want him to be safe too and it's killing me knowing that I can do something.
*Bang!*
I can't just sit here. I have to do something.
(Shane's POV)
My dad was beating the crap out of me. He kept banging my head against the floor and punching and kicking me in the stomach. I try to fight back but he's to strong. He picked me up by my shirt and pinned me against the wall. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Joey tip-toeing down the stairs. My dad was saying something to me but I just blocked him out. I saw Joey silently walk bahind my dad. Suddenly, Joey grabbed my dad's shirt and yanked him onto the floor.
Joey: Shane run !
I ran or more like limped out the door and Joey soon followed.
(Joey's POV)
Me and Shane fast walked to my house since he couldn't really run. Thank god his dad didn't know where I lived.
Shane: Thanks Joey.
Joey: No need. I'm your boyfriend. I'm supposed to protect you, no matter what.
We gave each other a hug and kiss. We walked in the house and went into my room.
Shane: I should call my mom and warn her.
Joey: Yea.
Shane called his mom and told her about his dad being home and that she should stay out of the house. After that we watched tv. Soon Shane fell asleep and I did the same.
*hour later*
I woke up to the sound of sirens going down the street and second later Shane woke up too.They were heading towards Shane's house.
Shane: What was that noise ?
Joey: I think it was a police car. They were heading towards your house.
Shane's phone started ringing and he picked it up.
Shane: Hello... Is everything okay... Okay I'll be right there... Bye.
Joey: Who was that ?
Shane : My mom. She wants me to come home.
Joey: I'll help you walk home.
Shane: Thanks.
(Shane's POV)
Me and Joey walked to my house and the police were outside. I saw my mom walk out the house and she had a smile on her face. I was so confused.
Shane: Mom, what's going on ?
Mom: Your dad. He's going to jail.
Shane: Oh my gosh that great.
I gave my mom the biggest hug ever.
