"Mama, Papa, we better start breaking out the blue paint!" Mike yells as we walk into the house. Mama runs into the main room wide eyed looking crazy.
"A boy?" she asks and I nod my head. She throws her hands in the air then runs over to me and wraps me in a hug. "Oh, Mija! That's wonderful!" she says and I hug her back. She was laughing and I could help the huge smile that was on my face.
"Mama don't kill her please," Mike says and Mama pulls away from me. She glares at her son then smiles back at me. She places her hands on my stomach and smiles down at it lovingly.
"Hey, there little one. It's Grandma and we can't wait to go see you," she says and I smile then look over at Mike. He kisses the top of my head. I take a deep breath and shake my head then look back to Mama. She was looking at Mike proudly and I could feel the pride coming off of Mike in waves.
I roll my eyes then look out the sliding glass door that leads to the back door. I see Papa out there carrying wood. I nudge Mike and point to the door. He looks at the back door and smiles then shakes his head. "He's building the crib," he says and my eyes go wide as I look back at him.
"Really? He's making the crib?" I ask and Mama nods her head.
"He's been working on it for a few days. He's really excited." Mama says and I smile then walk over to the door. I see Papa carrying planks of wood into his shop. I shake my head then knock on the door. Papa turns around and sees me then a huge smile goes across his face.
He sets down the wood quickly then walks over to the house. He opens the door and raises an eyebrow. "What do I need to paint the accents on the crib?" he asks and I laugh a little.
"Blue," I say and his eyes go wide and he hugs me. I hug him back then he pulls away and looks at something over my shoulder. I turn around and see Mike leaning against the wall with a huge smile on his face. He had a look of glee and excitement in his eyes. That wasn't it though. There was so much going on in his eyes. Love, hope, and everything in between. It made my stomach fill with butterflies at the way he was looking at me.
"Son, come here," Papa says then Mike walks over to us. Mike wraps an arm around my waist and gently lays his hand on the side of my stomach. I smile and lean back on Mike just a little. Both Mike and I look at Papa and see the joy in his eyes. Papa takes a deep breath then looks at both of us. "Legacy you are about 25 weeks pregnant and I am so happy to include you in our family. I can't wait to meet my first grandbaby and see where you to go in your lives. I know you haven't been very into the gang since we found out you were pregnant but I know you will be a good leader." he says and I smile at him.
"Thank you, Papa," I say and he nods his head then looks at Mike.
"Now you are going to be a father. I will be there to support you, but this is up to you. This is you and Legacy's child. Hold that with pride that a girl as great as Legacy would pick you." he says then I start to laugh.
Mike smirks at me then looks back to Papa. "Last but lest this it to both of you. Stay together. Keep on another safe even if it means your life. That's what matters. Take care of your child and one another." he says then Mike and I both nod. Papa gives us a smile then takes a deep breath.
"Now I'm going to finish that crib. I only need to sand paint and carve. Do you know the name yet? I swear to god if it's Vincent I will kill you all. We don't need three of us." he says then Mike and I look at one another. Mike nods his head then I look at Papa and smile.
"Michael Vincent Fuentes," I say and Papa shakes his head.
"These damn kids never listen to me," he says then walks off. I laugh a little and look at Mike. He was smiling down at me so I grabbed his chin and brought him in for a kiss. Gently Mike kisses me and places his hand on my enlarged stomach that seemed to get bigger and bigger every day.
