6# As The Years Go By

2/23/19: ya'll this fic was made years back so it's pretty awful, apologizes for errors and such.

Foot steps clicked down the busy hallway, a single man stood out before the rest. This man was handsome, but he was one of the head doctors, one of the best.

"Good morning Doctor Reborn!"

Reborn nodded his head towards the nurse that had greeted him. He was used to being greeted every morning when he came in, and it was weirdly the same nurse every single time.

He was going to check on his normal patient, the one he would check on every single day.

His smooth yet rough hands opened the white wooden door, he took a deep breath before entering.

Every single morning for the last 10 years.

"Good morning.." Reborn muttered as he locked the door behind him. He hated when people barged in.

He dropped into the chair that was beside the bed, his hand reaching out for the others hand. "When are you going to wake up?"

He knew he wouldn't get an answer.

He was Reborn, one of the greatest doctors of all time. He studied hard to get this far.

People think he did it for a good education.

But no, he didn't. The raven did it for the person in front of him. He did it all for her.

All for Sawada Tsunami.

Reborn blamed himself for the day that happened 10 years ago, he blamed himself for not telling Tsunami sooner.

He was going to free her.

He just needed a little more time, just a little more evidence that could go against Sawada Nana and Sawada Iemitsu.

They told him to give up.

He didn't.

They told him to stop trying.

He didn't.

They told him to pull the plug.

He punched them in the face.

Reborn wouldn't give up, he wouldn't give up on Tsuna. No matter how many times people told him too he wouldn't give up.

He promised.

"Hey Tsuna.." Reborn started, going through the things he said every day, "I did know that you were abused. I was trying to stop it. You should've listened to me before you acted."

The raven chuckled lightly, hands tightening, "But I guess I can't put all the blame on you, can I?"

"I am also to blame, aren't I Dame-Tsuna? I made you doubt me didn't I?" Reborn sighed, looking at the females closed eyes.

No sign of moving.

"You know.."

Again.

"I loved you too."

Again.

"I really did."

Again.

"And I still do."

Again.

"You should be thankful that I'm admitting this."

Again.

"I'm sorry."

Again.

"I should've stopped you."

It's all you're fault.

"I should've told you what I was doing."

Tell her.

"Please wake up."

Promise her.

"I'll be better his time."

prOMISE HER.

"I promise."

Reborn sighed as he looked at his hands, she wasn't waking up.

Reborn doubted she ever would.

He stood up, walking over to the door, "We'll try again tomorrow Dame-Tsuna."

He glanced at her one more time.

He walked back over

Reborn gave the brunette a single peak on the lips.

After all, she wasn't awake to notice it.

An arm shifted after the door closed.

A shaky hand was brought to the pale lips, closed eyes opened.

Tsuna looked at her hand in shock, eyes filling with tears after everything she just heard.

"H-He..." Her voice was croaky, raspy, and very dry. It hurt to talk.

"..L-Loves..Me...B-Back.."

A giant heartbreaking smile appeared on her lips, water filling coming out of her eyes.

And then she was awake.

I was planning to make a horrible ending to this but I didn't want more hate/love from you people so here you go XD
