16.

After the party, I left with a smile and a dry mouth.

My head was spinning from excitement, and I couldn't get the stupid grin off my face.

A couple things led to another. We talked, we kissed, we exchanged numbers, and he asked me out for Friday night.

Amber wouldn't stop bothering me about the situation, because apparrantly she saw the whole thing.

She told me about her special night also, with a guy she had met, and I was shocked to find out that Camryn and Ash had ditched the party to go and sit under the stars. I never knew Camryn was the type of girl who liked watching the stars.

Today was Tuesday, and I only had four more days until the date(that is if you count today). I was so excited, and I couldn't wait to see what he what he wanted to talk about. I couldn't wait to see what was in his interest.

We texted.

Luke-Are we still on for Friday?

Vanessa-yes, you seem a little anxious

Luke-I am. Why wouldn't I be anxious to go on a date with the most perfect girl.

I blushed. I would have thought that Amber, Camryn, or even Maya would be the perfect girl. I didn't really have the best of personality's. I was the girl who probably didn't act like a girl(except when I'm dancing). I was the type of person who cried over the littlest things, and the person who didn't feel good about herself. I was the type of girl that had a low self esteem, and the type of girl who had butterflies from book characters. I was the type of girl who no one wanted to be.

I was Vanessa Stewart.

Vanessa- I'm not perfect. I'm an unsolved puzzle which would take years to solve.

I was exactly like my mother. Helpless when it came to feelings.

*December 30th*

When Friday came, Amber
decided to help me with clothes and makeup once again.it was nine o'clock pm and she started bragging about how the dress that she had picked did so well, since he didn't like the tight dresses that ladies could never breath in, while I just sat there and smiled.

I thought about what he would wear, and what he would talk about, and what he would say when he saw me. I thought about everything.

Amber insisted that I wear one of her dresses this time, and started throwing things out of her closet like a mad woman. I had to duck every once in a while to avoid it landing on my face.

When she finally found the dress she thought looked best, she hurried me inside the bathroom to try it on. It was a dark green dress which stopped at my thighs. It wasn't tight, like Selien had said, and it was really pretty.

She put black lipstick on my lips, and a little bit of blush and mascara. Instead of wearing heels, I insisted I only bear my black Nike boots which she had bought me a few weeks ago as a gift. She agreed, and we both were satisfied.

Right on time, Luke texted me to tell me he was outside. I grabbed my coat, but put it back down when Amber told me I wouldn't need it. I raised an eyebrow because it was indeed December and really cold outside, but she said we would probably be going to a warm restaurant, and if I ever got cold, he would probably insist on cuddling up to me.

The thought made me blush.

After fifteen minutes of driving, I finally started to get suspicious of where we were going. There were no houses in sight, and it was already so dark. I started rubbing my arm uncomfortably, when I turned my head to look at him. He looked so focus on his task, and It only worried me more.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere where no one can find us." He laughed darkly. I gasped lowly.

"Your not going to kill me are you?" I was about ready to open the car door and throw myself out, if it meant saving my life.

"You'll see when we get there." He took a glance in my direction, and turned his gaze back onto the road.

When we got where ever he was taking me, there was only grass which came into view. I noticed him take out a blanket-maybe so he could roll up by dead body and hide it-, then I noticed a circle of logs and some in the middle, which looked like it was mean't as a fire.

He was probably going to make me a human sacrifice and burn my body.

When he went to go and lay the blankets by the logs, I picked up a stray stick, and ran over to him- striking him on the top of his head.

"Ow!, what the f*** was that for?" He turned around, holding the back of his head and groaning in pain.

"You're trying to kill me you psychopath?" He stopped and stood still for a second, looking at me oddly. That's when I noticed that he probably wasn't a psychopath and was not trying to place me as a human sacrifice.

"So, your not trying to roll me up inside that blanket, and throw me in a fire?"

"No" he almost shouted.

"Then what is that stuff for?"

"That blanket was for if you get cold, and the logs is for warmth also. All of this stuff was for a date." He didn't look angry. He looked like he was about to laugh, which he did.

"Why are you laughing? I could have given you an concussion!" I immediately dropped the stick and ran over to him.

I could see the back of his head bleeding a little, but it wasn't nothing serious. I touched his shoulder to balance him, but he winced in pain. I guess the stick hit his shoulder also when it was making its way down to my side.

I rushed him over to one of the logs, then started a fire. I pulled up his sleeve and saw a small circle on his shoulder which was bleeding.

"I have a first aid kit in my car." He smile.

"Perfect." I rushed to his car and back, holding the first aid kit, and kneeling down on the ground.

I rolled up his sleeve so that I could see the mark, and started dabbing it with a wipe.

"This is your fault you know." I whispered.

"How is the my fault?" I took a glance at his face and saw him smiling down at me.

"If you'd had just told me where we were going instead of 'where no one can find us' I wouldn't have had the feeling you was a psychotic stalker who would kill me as a sacrifice."

"Mental note for the next date: Tell her where we're going." We both laughed, but I stopped when what he said sunk in. "Next date?" I put a two bandages in the form of an x on his shoulder, and looked up at him.

"Yeah. You think that after this awesome date I wouldn't think about taking you on another one?" my mouth was opened wide, and I was so surprised.

"You are one weird guy." We both laughed.

I liked his personality. He wasn't like the douche bag guys from the books on Wattpad. He was funny, had a great personality, cared about people and animals, and the earth, and as a bonus- he was good looking.

I looked up to see he was already looking at me, and before I had time to react to what he was doing, we were kissing.
