Thank you guys for reading this book, and I never thought I would get as far as twenty chapters in a book without deleting it. This was originally supposed to be a short book with probably twelve chapters, so I am really surprised at how far I've gotten. I only have one hundred reads, but I'm still grateful for what I have because it's better than zero, and I honestly love you guys for taking the time in reading this horribly written book.

Luke's POV

Vanessa has a beautiful mind. She might keep to herself sometimes, but like she said-Everyone has their reasons.

I didn't want to pressure her into telling me something she didn't want to. I would just have to wait until she feels like she could trust me enough to tell me.

Beautiful mind, Beautiful soul, Beautiful heart. This list could go on and on, as long as I have something to call beautiful about her.

Like I said the first day we met. I want to be a veterinarian, but what hurts the most is that Vanessa is considered an animal(since she's mammal). She was broken, and it was my job to try and fix it. But how was I going to fix it if I didn't know what the problem was.

I knew from day one of how broken she was. The look in her eyes gave me no signs of hope, but when she talked about her childhood she seemed a little more happy.

Vanessa was like a automatic light bulb. She had no switch and she could be out for the longest times. But at the very most unexpected times, she would light up.

I remember New Years when she got so drunk she couldn't process as much of what was happening when she was sober, and she looked so helpless. She looked like a lost animal which had drifted away from it's herd, and gave up on hope.

I remember the feeling I had when I came back from the bathroom to see her and that guy Aiden kissing, and it absolutely hurt. I felt like my heart was put into a blender and crushed into pieces. For a second I had given up hope on her even liking me someday.

When she showed up at my house that same day, and was yelling at me about how she was sorry, I lost it. I felt like this girl was breaking me piece by piece-but in the good way. I was like a closed flower which she helped bloom.

I think there's still some happiness inside her, and she only needed the right person to help it come out.

She didn't believe in love, but that was okay. She just needed time.

She was Vanessa Stewart, you're average teenager.

Let me try again.

She was Vanessa Stewart, a unique, once in a life time girl who I had grew to like overtime.

Just enough time, and I might soon be falling for this woman.

______________

"A penny for your thoughts." Vanessa had crawled onto my lap, and had her arms around my shoulders, giving me small pecks on the lips at times.

I smiled when her lips reached mine again.

"I was just thinking about a few things." I couldn't stop smiling. This girl was surely doing something to me.

"What kind of things?" She stopped the kisses and just looked at me for a while. Her eyes were beautiful, and it looked as if it held the world. The galaxy even.

She was probably the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. She was my girlfriend. She was my Vanessa Stewart.

"Are there any types of books you were thinking of reading lately?"

She got off my lap and headed towards the kitchen where her bag was sitting. She roamed around inside it for a while before her hand came back up, and within it was a book.

The middle part was brownish/redish, and the top was black. From afar I could see a tree decorated onto the cover, and it looked like it would be an interesting, yet safisticating book.

She sat down beside me and held up the book. "To kill a Mockingbird. A friend of mine- Aiden actually- suggested that I should read it, and I never really got around to it." She looked at the book intensely as it rested in her hands.

I looked up at her.

"Vanessa, you're seventeen, so don't you have school?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No. I graduated at age sixteen." She clicked her tongue and looked at me.

Silence was all there was after that, and it felt so awkward.

Then I decided to break the silence.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a two week trip with me." She looked at me with a surprised face.

"A trip? I don't know." She looked sad.

"You could bring your friends if you want. Amber,Camryn,Cage..... you can bring Aiden and his girlfriend also if you want, but Aiden will have to pay for their own trip."

"deal" She jumped up and hugged me.

This was what I lived for now.

Her.
