I have a mate?

"Misty, make Cory stop crying. Now, before I get another headache!" My aunt yelled up the stairs.

My aunt doesn't like kids, that's why she doesn't have any. She's married, and her husband doesn't want kids either so they never had any.

"Okay." I walked into Cory's room and picked him up. "Ew, Cory you need a diaper change."

After that was done I looked at Cory and he was looking at me.
"Do you miss mom and dad Cory?" His head did a little nod.
"I do too, don't worry we'll find someone who actually cares about us." Right as I said that I wish I could bring the words back into my mouth.

"Do you not appreciate what me and your aunt do for you?! We put a roof over your head, and food in your bellies, and you say 'We'll find someone who will be better for us'?" My uncle looks beyond mad.

"No uncle I didn't mean it that way I was just blabbering like I always do."

"You better just be blabbering, or else I'll make you regret your words. Now go feed him, drop him off at daycare, and get to school. And when I get home I want the house clean and dinner either made or almost done."

"Okay uncle," with that said I walked out the door and down to the kitchen.

As I was making Cory's breakfast, I started thinking. My aunt and uncle don't do anything, I have to clean the house, take care of Cory, make dinner, and I have do all the shopping. I even have a job, but I don't pay the bills I'm just saving my money for when i turn 18. When I move out then I can take care of Cory and myself.

When my parents died, Cory and I were given to my grandparents, but almost a year after we moved in with our grandparents, they died. So we were given to our only relatives that still lived in California. Our aunt and uncle.

After Cory was done eating, I got him dressed and we were off to school, well day care for Cory, but school for me.

Once I knew that cory wasn't going to cry after I left, I went to school.

'Misty, we are going to find our mate either today or tomorrow.'  

'How do you know that Carrie?' Carrie is my wolf and she's a big help with Cory, and with things that go on at school. 

'Have I ever been wrong about things that I tell you?' 

'No but... never mind now shh I'm at school and sometimes you can be distracting. I don't want to get in trouble with the bullies or with the teachers for not paying attention.'

 'Okay I will be quiet, but when I tell you things you need to start listening to me. I have never lied to you before.' 'Okay.'

As I pulled up to the school I saw Alpha Bradford and his posse standing around their cars and talking like they always are. This is usually when the day of bullying starts, so if you can tell I'm not as happy at school, although at home isn't much better.

I park and then sit there for a minute, not ready to face another terrible school year. I sigh, then open my door and start my walk to the school. When I get there without being teased I'm surprised. Nobody even looked at me. Strange. What's wrong with these people, did they change over the summer?

I thought about that for a couple of seconds. No, they couldn't have changed, especially Alpha Ashton. He wouldn't change for anybody but his mate, which I'm surprised he hasn't found yet. Well hopefully he will soon so all the bullying will stop.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Misty Wood. I thought you would have moved by now." It looks like I spoke too soon.
"What do you want Ashton?"
"It's Alpha to you, as I am your Alpha and you will show me respect."

"Okay Alpha, I'm going to walk away and go to class."

"Oh is poor Misty scared of talking to her alpha?"

"No, I'm just done with all the insults and bullying. I'm tired of being called four eyes and nerd girl. Everybody seems to think I'm the nerd of the whole school."

I looked back at him and he was glaring at me.

 'Well Carrie what do you think about that?' ' I think you should run.'

I turn around and see Ash...Alpha looking at me. If looks could kill I would be dead right now.
I turned back around and booked it to my first class.
Of course I just had to have bad luck and I was slammed into the lockers. 'That's going to bruise.'

"I think when school's over I'm gonna have a little chat with your uncle. What do you think about that? Got anymore smart remarks?"

I thought about it but Carrie stopped me. 'Don't. He's the alpha do you really want to get yelled at by your uncle again?' I didn't and I wanted to give a remark to the alpha but I bit my tongue instead and just shook my head. 

 "Well that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be."

Right then the bell rang for school to start and Ashton let me go and walked off. I suppose to find Lilly, the schools biggest slut, maybe she's his mate, wait no I don't want her to be his mate then the bullying would never stop.
I really hope this day goes by really fast.
As I walk into my first hour I'm crushed into a hug. "Hey Alia." I say but I comes out very weak, because my lungs are being crushed.
"Hi Misty! Did you have a good summer?" she asks as she lets me go and comes around so I can see her face.
"It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be but it was okay." I shrug.
"Oh did you have to take care of Cory again?"
"Ya I did, and my aunt and uncle didn't do anything to help me at all. Like always." Right then the teacher came in and me and Alia turned in our seats to the front of the class, seeing as I don't have bad grades and neither does Alia.

As the teacher was going to begin the door opened and Ashton walked in like he owned the place. 

Ashton was tall, probably around 6'2". He had raven black hair, and his eyes were a stormy grey. He was wearing a white t-shirt that you could see his six pack through, and blue jeans. The worst part was he was popular and I wasn't. I was the school nerd, with emerald green eyes dark brown hair. I had glasses and I liked to read. I also had a secret nobody, not even Alia, knew. I turned back to the front.

"You're in my seat." I looked up and there was Ashton, of course this was his seat.
"Your names not on it." I don't like to sit in the front I may be a nerd but I hate sitting in the front.
"Mr. Bradford please take a seat." Mr. Fray told him.
Ashton glared at me and sat across from me.
This day needs to go faster.
