"Crystal, Crystal wake up!" said a low and soft voice. Crystal's eyes fluttered open only to find the piercing green gaze of her sister inches away from her face. The princess's chamber was enormous with a giant bed that dominated the center of the bedroom whereas the other two relatively smaller rooms yet still quite large consisted of a sitting area and a dressing room. Regardless of the dim lighting in the bedroom the eyes of the young girl were exceptionally vibrant.

"Yes... well, that isn't creepy at all" Crystal's let out sarcastically despite noticeable exhaustion. The raven haired girl couldn't help but smile a little before returning her attention back to her sister who is making an effort to fall asleep again.

"Crystal! That's enough sleep! You promised to be at my first council hearing!" she said anxiety clear in her voice.

"Is the sun even out?" The snowy haired woman questioned as she continued to wipe the remaining trace of sleep from her eyes.

"Only in a matter of minutes" Raven spoke heading towards the window and peeking through the curtains. "Nice view you got here" she said returning to the side of her sister's bed as Crystal sat up still struggling to keep her eyes open.

"Your first hearing as an official guardian, how does it feel?" Crystal said smirking and nudging her sister's shoulder.

"I'm terrified." Raven spoke bringing her knees to her chest. "What if they see me unfit to remain a guardian? What if the issue I have to try and tackle goes out of hand. I'm still not sure if it's good enough. I want to do the guardians proud" she said sternly. "I want- I want to do father proud." She said resting her head on her knees, at this point her voice could barely be heard if it wasn't for the closeness of her sister.

"Raven" Crystal placed a hand on her sister's head and ran her fingers through her shoulder length hair. "Father couldn't be any more proud of you." She said trying to reassure her sister. "And THIS... all guardians must go through a trial of loyalty to prove you can bring something to the guardians and fulfill your purpose as the guardian of diversity. Should you fail you will be asked to step down and give up the right of a guardian" she said rather crudely. "But my dear sister, I am not inclined to let that happen, at least the part about you getting into a dangerous situation. I will not allow it neither will father... or Hunter or mother for that matter. And we all know there's nothing scarier than mother on a rampage." She said lightheartedly

"It's still surprising she was the guardian of peace at some point". Raven added humorously.

"One truly wonders" Crystal said smiling as she looked down at her lap which she could barely see. "So what worldly issue has my dear sister decide to take on?"

"The path of Righteousness" Raven answered.

"Right... Right. It was about the Templar situation correct?"

"Yes the Templars... the "Creator's warriors" as they like to call themselves" the younger girl stated obviously annoyed as she got off the bed and began pacing in front of her sister. "They think they can use that as an excuse to control everyone. They think they are above everyone especially the magisters. I mean most of the mages believe in the Creator and follow his word despite possessing magic. Not all resort to conversing with spirits as the Templars like us to believe.

"I know... But so long as the mages continue going to the academy they cannot be harmed. Once they're in the academy they are under the protection of Arhaal the Master of Magic, and the moment they step out of there they are under father's protection whether the Templars approve of it or not. The academy itself is quite amazing though, sure Templars do patrol there often but the mages made it a sanctuary, a place where they can learn to harness their gift in peace, away from the scrutiny of the world." By the time Crystal finished speaking one of the handmaids who had entered the chambers opened the curtains to the already risen sun. The light from the sun lit the entire room in an instance leaving the blue eyed beauty wincing trying to adjust her eyes to the now lit area.
