The band walked through the tall trees and cut through the intertwined vines that blocked their path

"Do we even know where we are going?" Tallen asked aloud ducking beneath the truck of a fallen tree.

"Depending on the tree I believe we're on the right path" Krios responded

"How do you know that" Tallen asked confused to the confident answer by Krios

"Well..." He said looking at the tree. The tree was tipped over but the scratch marks on the tree trunk and the way it was tipped over seemed as if something large had pushed it down.

"Great..." Tallen said following the Princess

They followed the trail of destruction, the trees tipped over perfectly creating a convenient path for them to follow

"Anyone else know this path probably leads to a trap or is it just me?" Tallen said stopping

"Look around, it obviously is a trap" Crystal confirmed as she was forced to stop seeing as the high-guard stopped following

"Then why are we following it?!" Tallen questioned the princess

"How are we supposed to find out the source of those things if we don't?" Crystal explained

"We don't have backup... We'll be outnumbered" Tallen was now looking around as she thought she heard something move in the forest, she saw nothing so she did not voice her concern.

"Look, I'm not going in there without a plan, I need to know what we're up against" Crystal responded firmly.

"My dear guardian, it will be sun down soon, we have been walking for hours. We need to at least make camp" Krios suggested

Crystal sighed, they were losing the light of day and she did not know how much longer it will take for them to reach.

"Fine... Let's just find a safe place to set camp" She finally agreed

They eventually found a small clear area in the forest surrounded by trees. They found giant logs and moved them to the middle of the hollowed area creating a place to sit. The three dropped their equipment, to the ground, Crystal pulled her weapon that was latched to her back and stuck it in the ground beside her.

Vengeance was the name she bestowed upon her weapon as it seemed that most of the times she used it was for revenge, either revenge for her or for the people she protected. The weapon was one of the finest seen in all kingdoms and although it was a large in size it was extremely light making it easy for swift movement.

The weapon was forged by her father King Thorn himself, who spent months not allowing anyone to help him while he worked in the forge creating a weapon that suits his princess's skills, something that she will never outgrow. He ended up with a Halberd, it was a decorated axe on the top held together by a long bar before ending with a pointy dagger. The bar of the halberd was also a weapon, once split it reveals two long blades. There was carvings both on the upper and lower part of the weapon the carving on the top of the halberd was the motto of House DieRogan "Victory and Vengeance" and on the lower half a ownership spell as in the only one to wield it and cease its full potential was Crystal.

Krios went off to collect fire wood, the only reason Crystal allowed him to go was that they were surrounded by trees and wood so he wouldn't be far. The high-guard eventually let her weapon down, considering her strength she wielded a two handed sword, it was sharp yet looked a tad rundown. From what Crystal could see it was once a beautiful sword, the hilt of it was gold with a bright emerald crested in the center of it.

"What's the plan your highness" The woman asked the princess

"We find out what those creatures are, stop them... that's pretty much the plan" Crystal said lifting her shoulders
