I shrugged. "As I said, I really don't know." Sniven held up a hand, signaling me to keep quiet, and looked towards the debris of the quake. I kept quiet and looked out towards the wreckage as well. I couldn't see anything other then broken trees and stone. "Get back!" Sniven shouted as he shoved me backwards onto the floor and hopped onto a tree branch. I fell on my back, and looked up just in time to see three purple needles plant themselves into the ground where Sniven stood before retreating into the tree. The ground began to rumble, and the needles faded away. "A-another quake?" I stuttered, before Sniven shushed me. "No. Keep calm, stay down, and be quiet." He called out to me. I nodded and hid myself under a pile of various debris, covering myself in as much as I could in as little time as possible. The rumbling became stronger as I saw a large, deep red thing charged towards Snivens tree. It slid to a stop just before the tree. I could see it  clearly as the dust and dirt of the skid started to settle. It appeared to be a large centipede. It was quite tall, and very muscular. A battle axe hung across its back. Sniven smirked at it. "You took your time." The centipede growled in response. "Sniven! You and I have unfinished business to attend to!" It said in a gravelly voice. Suddenly, its gaze shot in my direction. Sniven put his palm to his forehead. I knew instantly why they spotted me, I forgot to cover my tail. It was sticking straight out of the debris. "Whoops..." I whispered. The centipede spoke. "So, it appears we have a spy among us." It stompex towards me, its 4 legs slamming the ground with a solid thud as each step was taken. He brushed away the debris I hid beneath. "Leave him alone, Scarlepede." Sniven called out. The centipede turned to Sniven and snickered. "Or what? What's he gonna do about it? Nothing, that's what! This imbecile is a spy, and spies need to be executed." I noticed at this point that one of its front legs was raised off the ground. "Look out!" Sniven shouted as he jumped down from the tree, grabbed my arm, and leaped with me into another tree nearby. We escaped just in time for Scarlepede to stomp the ground. The area where I hid before Sniven grabbed me was swamped in a mysterious, purple liquid that shot forth from the floor. "Sniven!" Scarlepede shouted at us. "I demand you hand him over!" Sniven shot me a concerned look. "You know him?" I shook my head. Scarlepede stood on his hind legs and raised himself up high enough for me to look him in the eye. His face was scarred, and he wore an eye patch over his left eye. "You don't remember me, do you? That's the excuse you're using? You think anyone will fall for that?" Scarlepede growled. Me and Sniven exchanged confused looks. Sniven spoke to Scarlepede. "Back off, bug. He's with me now, reguardless of who he is. Now get out of my sight, or would you rather loose your other eye?" Scarlepede became red in the face. "Fine, I'll humor you, but only this once. Listen well, rat." He faced me. "You're lucky I don't kill you where you now stand." I sheepishly smirked. "But sir, I'm sitting down." Sure enough, I was sitting on the branch, not standing. Sniven snickered. Scarlepedes face grew red once again, and he began to storm away. "Ignorant, OOF... Stupid, cocky, ARGH!" Scarlepede murmured under his breath. Sniven and I watched until he was out of sight.
