The tavern was very rustic in design, with strange gray wood covering its exterior. There were small sconces that were attached to the door frame of the entrance, but they didn't hold candles. Instead, they held small, sky blue crystals that seemed to glow faintly. Getting a good look at the entrance, I also noticed the crystals growing from the ground along the edges of the building. A large sign was held up by silver chains above the doorway, and read "Frostshine Tavern." I didn't know what to expect from a name like that, but I decided to enter anyway, just like Sniven instructed me to. Inside, my senses were greeted by a pleasant sensation of warm hospitality, reguardless of the chilling air. There were quite a few chairs and tables set up in the center of a small room, and booths lined the walls. At the far back of the room was a bar, where the barkeep steadily work on drinks, and placing them on a silver platter. A waitress walked over to the bar and picked up the platter, walking it to one of the tables. "Now this is a nice change of pace." I thought to myself. Stepping all the way in, I closed the door behind me, but didn't notice the bell on the doorway that rang when I did so. I jumped, startled by the sudden ringing noise, and turned to see what the noise was. I could hear giggling behind me, and looked back at the rest of the bar. The waitress held her hand to her mouth, as if hiding a smile. "Please take a seat over there, sir. I will be with you in a moment." The waitress pointed over at a booth near the bar. Nodding, not really knowing what to say, I headed over to the booth and took a seat. I finally got a good look around the room. Much to my dismay, there were a number of customers in the tavern with me. A red lizard with a burning tail sat across from a light brown fox, sharing a drink. A green-ish blue, muscular man sat at the bar, and quietly sipped at his beverage. A bear cub happily ate the berries his mother was feeding him. "So, how can I help you today?" Came a voice from across my table. I didn't notice that the waitress was standing right in front of me. She was about as tall as me, with long, fluffy ears. Her fur was silver in color, and appeared to shimmer under the light of the crystals hanging on the walls. The fur on her head had grown long, and partially hung down in front of her left eye, and appeared to fade into a deep blue gradient color. Her uniform was a sky blue gown, with a gray apron hanging on her front. A small nametag hung on her left sleeve, and read "Kateevee." I caught myself staring, as she began to blush. Snapping myself out of it, I responded. "Um... I was sent he-" But my words were cut off by the barkeep. "Kat! Who are you talking to?" Kateevee looked over at the girl behind the counter and responded. "No one, sis. He's just..." The barkeep began to walk over to my booth. "He's just what? He's a customer, not a-" She stopped speaking when she saw me. The barkeep looked almost identical to the waitress, except her fur was a light blue color, and her uniform was reversed, with a gray gown and sky blue apron. She appeared to be slightly taller then Kateevee, but without the fur growing over her eyes. Her nametag read "Graceon." She began to look me over, then began to whisper to the waitress. At this point, the man at the bar and the mother bear were staring at me. Graceon nodded at Kateevee, and walked back to the bar. Kateevee looked back at me. "So, um... You wouldn't happen to be with Sniven, would you?" I was shocked, did I pick the wrong person to trust? "Uh... Um..." I didn't know how to answer that question. She smiled reassuringly. "No need to worry, we actually want to help you, but we can't do it out here in the open. Follow me."
