I looked around at the streets of Los Angeles, the car next to mine revved its engine showing it was ready to start the race, so naturally I revved mine showing it was time to start. I looked at the man in the car, he looked around my dad's age. Early 40s. He must have kids, a wife. So why in the world is he sitting in a car he probably got to work on as a hobby, in a street race.
I knew better than to ask questions though, my parents had raised me right. I looked back at the street in front of me, I was going to win. The man telling us to go had signaled it was go time. I hit the gas, the Nos was keeping me ahead of the man by a good fifteen feet. I was yelling with joy, I turned a sharp turn and headed towards the way I started.
As I took the turn I moved my head to look at the crowd, a man I had never seen before, his light, almost ocean, blue eyes met my. I turned my attention to the front of my car and hit the brakes, everyone gathered around my car to check it out, see what I used to make it. I found him once again, his dark brown hair covering one eye. He walked up to me.
"What's your name?" he seemed so polite, I had to tell him my name. My parents would kill me if they knew I was giving my name out randomly. I looked at him and smiled.
"Ariana. Ariana Toretto." It was a name I was so use to people gasping at, only because my father is Dominic Toretto. He smiled and took my hand and shook it.
"Well Ariana, my name is Cameron, Cameron Spieldner." Odd last name. I shook his hand anyway and looked him up and down trying to figure this guy out.
"Well if you wouldn't mind I was wondering, how in the world did you end up in car like this?" I smiled, not a lot of people ask. They just assume that my dad helps me. Which was partially true...
"I have a father who taught me everything there is to know about cars. But I-" I was cut off. People started to run, which could only mean one thing.
"Cops!" Was yelled from somewhere in the crowd. I quickly turned to my car and jumped in, then remembered Cameron, I stood out my car and look at him,.
"Hey, come on, get in!" I yelled to him, when he was settled in I hit the gas. People were everywhere trying to get into their cars, I twisted and turned around corners and cars.
Cameron was gripping the sides of his seat, I chuckled at him. Not use to having a man in my car I did what I'm use to. Turned down the street I live. Which would be odd, but considering my best friend did this quite often I didn't think anything of it.
"One question? How old are you?" I looked at him as I stopped at a stop sign. I didn't know what to say at first, but then I shrugged my shoulders, you only live once.
"I'm sixteen, almost seventeen, most people look at me and think I'm older." he smiled and answered the question I was going to ask him.
"I'm eighteen. No I'm not a serial killer or a rapist and I'm not wanting to get in your pants." he laughed and soon I joined, I needed this. We pulled up to my house, he jumped out first and started walking away when I turned around and asked him a question.
"Hey! You Wanna come in. Looks like my uncle's here. You might like him." He turned around and smiled, he walked up the stairs so that he was next to me. I opened the door and there was my cousin. Jack O'Conner.
I believed he was around the same age as Cameron, so hopefully they'd get along. Brian was standing next to him, when they heard the door open they looked our way. Jack smirked and Brian laughed. Finally dad showed up.
"Ariana brought a friend home Letty. It's a boy." He said it and my mom ran into the room. I felt Cameron smile next to me. My mom, Letty Ortiz, grabbed our hands and pulled us in.
