Way Too Fast, Way Too Furious

Chapter 5

I walked hand and hand with Cameron, we were in front of everyone else. I knew my way to his apartment and tried to act as if I hadn't been with him last night. Tej and Roman were talking about how nice this place was, mom and dad were laughing about something Brian had said. We all seemed happy, Cameron unlocked his door and everyone walked in. Roman laughed, only because he had a nice place like this too. Tej just looked around at how nice it was, Brian and Mia were in love with it, mom and dad said nothing just looked around.
"So how does a guy that street races, have such a nice place like this?" I heard my dad ask.
"My parents had a trust fund for me, I didn't go to college so I took the money and bought this here apartment." Cameron had looked at my father and smiled, I smiled at the thought of him telling my father up.
"Well..." it was silent for awhile, no one said anything and it was chilling.
"Welcome to the family Cameron!" My father walked up to him and hugged him, I laughed and hugged my mom. Everyone was happy, we ate dinner at his place and went out to race.

I hopped into my car and turn the ignition, the engine roared. I smiled, I looked around me and saw who I was racing, the man from the night I met Cameron. A woman around my age and a man a year younger than me. I chuckled, they're all going to lose. Tej was signaling again, he let his arms drop and I went. I changed gears more often, and hit Nos more often. My car was ahead of everyone else, when I heard the first one.
A siren, I looked in my rearview mirror and a cop car was right behind me. I hit the gas and changed gears, I laughed as I made my way through traffic. The cops were following me, I was out of their sight for a few minutes and decided that I should probably park my car somewhere and walk my way home. I found a parking garage a few miles away from my house, I parked my car on the third floor and made my way to the bottom and walked on the sidewalk. There was a lot of people on the sidewalk so no one knew I was one that ran from the cops.
I was crossing the street when I heard a group of racing cars turning down that street and I ran the way my car was, people screaming and running either way to keep out of the way of the cars. I made my way to the parking garage and found my car pretty quick, I raced my way to the bottom. When I made it down there the cars were all coming down the way I had and that's when I heard the first one. The sirens of the cops, I hit the gas and followed the cars in front of me. The cops were getting closer, I didn't have any Nos left so I changed gears as often as I could and it made my car a lot faster than some of the other cars. I looked around and saw cars from people I knew, I had already found Tej and Roman's cars. I had no clue where the others were, I didn't even see Cameron's car.
I looked at the cop cars again and they were gaining on me. I freaked out and hit the gas and changed gears, I pulled up next to Roman he looked at me and smirked. We were going to race right in the middle of a police chase, I hit the gas even harder and swerved around other cars Roman on my tail. I then realized that Tej was on Roman's tail, I was beating both of them. I looked around at the other cars they were catching on to what we were doing and started doing, some of them going down other streets and a few cop cars following them.
I was happy by the time the three of us were left there was only one cop car following us and we were at a three way stop, just as we stopped the cop car stopped and parked getting out of the car with their gun in hand.
"Please get out of the car with your hands up!" I could tell that they were nervous, newbie. I looked over at Tej and he was already looking my way.
"Please? Wow what has this world come too? A police officer saying please." I responded by revving my engine, Tej and Roman revved their's in response. I smirked and looked out at the road ahead of us, it had to at least be midnight on a Friday night. I turned right, Tej went straight and Roman went left. The cop was freaking out and jumped in his car going straight following Tej.I laughed and headed home, the drive home was so quiet. I missed Cameron.
I pulled into my driveway and saw his car parked right in front of mine, the front door opened and my family came running out. I hopped out of my car and ran towards Cameron whose arms were already out stretched and waiting for me. I hugged him and he hugged back, dad and Brian hugged us both and soon mom and Mia joined. I heard Tej's car pulled up and we all pulled apart from each other happy to see he was okay, and a few minutes later Roman pulled up and each of them got the same welcoming I did.
Cameron never left my side until I let go of him, I walked inside with everyone else. I smelled food coming from the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen Jack and Taylor were standing there smiling. This is my family.
