Seven year old Barra stood quietly in the forest, watching, waiting for any animals that ventured near her. Two men stood in behind a hedge, watching her carefully for any sign of warging ability.
Something at the edge of Barra's senses stirred, it felt warm, alive. Her mind rushed out to meet it. It was a wolf, larger than any wolf had the right to be, and then off she was running, completely free.
One of the two men turned to the other and nodded, she possessed the abilities they needed.
Moving as one, they crept to where Barra's abandoned body was leaning into a tree. The body was slowly falling, but one of the men rushed out and caught it.
The wildlings, having accomplished their goal, returned to their camp. Behind them, a shrill scream echoed through the air. The cry of a mother when her child is gone.

The picture above is what Barra kind of looks like when she's older, that's Katie McGrath as Morgana, just by the way. But, I am searching for a better image, so stay tuned!
The first couple chapters will probably be pretty short and there will be long intervals between updates because I have exams and I'm also working on three other fanfics, plus one original story that I've just started.
