"Wanna bet?" He smirked.
He took a deep breath in before turning around and walking to a table.
Oh of course he has a table.
He came back and cut the rope, releasing the pressure on my limbs.
He put out his hand, "Let's go for a walk."
The feeling of the cool, night breeze hit me face, making me feel a bit relaxed.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"On a walk."
"Where?"
"Nowhere. Just walk with me."
I stopped walking.
"What did I just-"
"Namjoon." I said sternly. "What the fuck?"
"Huh?"
"Tell me where we're going. Tell me what you plan to do to me. Tell me how you could possibly think that I would do this with you? Help you? What did you hit your head on, Namjoon?" I said calmly.
"Turn to your right."
"Why?"
"Just do it, Eunhee." He had a sad look in his eyes.
I looked to my right and saw my apartment.
"Go." He whispered.
"How can I trust you? Alone out here, hurting people?"
"Are you saying you want to stay with me?" He raised a brow.
"Why would I ever want to?" I glared at him. "I just think, someone should be watching you- no, YOU SHOULD BE LOCKED UP! WHY DIDN'T I-"
"I've let you free. Just this once, let me be free, for the last time. Before they find me." He walked away slowly, with his head hanging down.
I watched him disappear, without a single thought in my head, before turning around and walking inside.
The moment the door opened, I was attacked.
"EUNHEE ARE YOU OKAY, WHAT HAPPENED?!" Ho Seok gripped my shoulders tight.
I pushed his hands off, "Yes, I'm okay."
"Why do you look so... Dull? What happened?"
"Nothing happened, don't worry about me." I couldn't smile, I couldn't frown. I couldn't put any emotion in my voice, or my expression. "I'll go to bed now."
"But it's so early."
"Goodnight, Ho Seok." I walked past him.
I stopped and turned around, hoping he wasn't standing there watching me walk away. But he was.. "Thanks for worrying about me." I smiled.
I took a long shower, letting all my thoughts wash away with the water running down to my feet.
I walked into my bedroom and Ho Seok was sitting on the side of my bed.
"I told you not to worry..." I whispered as I sat next to him.
"You're hurt... Everywhere. Even your heart. I want to-"
"My heart can mend itself eventually. These cuts and bruises will heal eventually. I'll be out of danger... Eventually." I smiled with tears in my eyes.
"You can't hide your pain. I know you're hurting. I want to help you." He put his hand on my thigh.
"It's hard for me to trust anyone but myself at the moment." I took his hand off my thigh and held it with my two hands. "I promise. I am okay. I will continue to be okay. Now let me sleep. I'm very tired."
"Okay." He managed to let out a faint whisper. "Goodnight, Eunhee."
"Goodnight." I said quietly as he shut the door on the way out.

I was brushing my teeth when suddenly I heard a loud thud come from my bedroom.
I walked over slowly to check what it was, "Ho Seok what the actual fuck are you doing in my room? You scared me!"
"Ah, sorry. I though you'd be in the shower."
"So. What were you doing?" I crossed my arms.
He sighed, "Nothing."
He tried walking past but I put my arm out to stop him, "What are you hiding?"
"Huh? Nothing."
"What's that?" I pointed.
"My hand...?"
"No, in your hand. What are you holding?"
"Not what I hoped it would be." He sounded upset... Almost disappointed.
"What?"
He pulled out my arm and placed a pretty necklace, with a cute little key on it.
"I was hoping it'd be the key to your heart."
"Excuse me?"
"I'll be going now..."
"No. Ho Seok... What the-" I took a deep breath in. "This is... It's very cute, but... You know. I can't let anyone come into my life like that at the moment. I'm very sorry."
"I just thought, I had some kind of chance. I swore to myself that I'd protect you."
"We didn't meet that long ago. How could you work out your feelings so easily? So quickly- Well... I'm not one to ask that, it happened to me." I sighed.
"Except... He actually loved you back." Ho Seok had started to cry.
"Please. Don't cry. I am so, very sorry!" I tried to come close and wipe his tears, but he pushed me away.
"I understand." He walked out and soon I heard the front door shut.
I sighed and looked at the necklace. I laughed silently, before feeling guilty again, "Sorry, Ho Seok."
I broke the necklace, with my eyes closed tight.
"I can't love... Not anymore."
I picked up the key from the floor, and went out to place it on Ho Seok's pillow.
I kissed it softly, and put it right in the middle of his pillow, on top of a note I wrote,
You won't see me at home for a long time... And don't try to look for me. Don't even think about it. I know that you said you'd protect me, but not this time, okay? If I get hurt, I'll be okay. If I get lost, I'll find my way. Just like you will... You're hurt because I don't like you back, but your heart will fix itself. You may feel lost without me... But you'll find your way to someone better. Live your own life, enjoy it, too. You shouldn't be involved in mine, it's too dangerous. I don't want you to ever get hurt. You were a great friend, although we weren't friends for long. Please forgive me...
