*************************************** *Ace Pov* As soon as the words left his mouth I was bolting left and right down the hallways collecting whatever I needed. I didn't pay attention to anyone or to Sophia running after me. I got a an outfit and ran for the door I then turned around abruptly remembering that Sophia can't be left alone. "Sophia I need you to go to our bedroom and go into our big closet. Once you arrive their push through the clothes and you will find a dim light and under their is a safe room. Open the hatchet and climb in ok?" She nods her head 'Yes'. I turn around to exit but I'm stopped again with a peck to my lips "Look after your self please Ace" I nod my head and run through the forest.

I transform mid air into my midnight black wolf. I start running mindlinking the pack warriors to meet us where the hunters were. Once we arrived we made slow footsteps towards them from behind them. Everyone had separated for us to make a circle around them. We had to be aware of the hunters weapon knowing that their weapons were dangerous to our kind.
We started advancing towards, everyone knowing their target. As soon as I reached my target I attacked him from behind snapping his neck and throwing him to the side to the pack members that will finish him off. As soon as that happened everything went into world war 5. Everyone stalked towards their prey targeting to attack everyone. The once green forest floor was now splattered in red. "All members involved in the hunters attack please may sour way towards the pack house meeting room. All pack members started making their way towards the pack house. A grin took over my face but not any grin, a grin of excitement. I felt my head rise high at the successful battle.
The murmurs of my pack members reached my ears as I stepped into the full room. Everyone quieted down as soon as they felt me enter the room. I looked into everyone pack members room. My face held nothing but a proud look and smile. I looked at everyone with a fond smile."Today what you all showed me made me proud" Everyone cheered. I put my Alpha face back on and look over the room. "To thank you all for what you all did today tomorrow night you all are invited for a get together at 6pm." They all nodded and put their head down to show submission to their Alpha.
"You all may make your way towards your respective homes. Everyone dismissed" I order. Everyone scattered filing out of the room trying to probably get to their families. Once everyone had exited I make my way to my awaiting room hoping she's as good as I left her. The tree house looked as good as I left it. Once I entered I made my way towards the safety room. Once I entered I made my way down the steps. This safety room was made years ago for the pack members if they were staying in the treehouse and if anyone was at risk. No one would have realised if it wasn't for the dim light sitting even then you can't see it.
I made my way downstairs opening the locket, I climbed my way down the smaller steps and found my little mate oblivious to everything around her shaking in the corner from the cold but sound asleep. I hadn't realised the battle went on for that long. I made my way to my beautiful mate. I looked at her calm features as her chest gently heaved up and down. I picked her up gently making her stir in my arms. She snuggled to my chest closer. My heart soared at the sight.
I made my way back up the stairs and planted her under the silk covers. Once I finish doing that I make sure to put beside her a cup of water so when she wakes up she can refresh a little. I went into my closet organising my clothes for my shower knowing after that battle I'm going to need that. Before I get into the shower I make sure to put the thin bread into the oven in very low. I make my way back to the room and start my shower.
Once I am dressed in tracksuit outfit I check on my beautiful mate and make sure she is fine which I find her sound asleep. I make my way to the kitchen to see the bread perfectly done. I put it out to cool down while I put the chicken in the grill and start cutting up vegetables for the chicken wrap. I turn around to see my mate looking at what I'm doing. Her cheeks darken and she puts her head down, which I find adorable.
I make my way towards her and wrap my arms around her engulfing her scent. I put my chin down in her head "Are you hurt? Did anyone get hurt? Are they gone?" She asks worriedly all after each other. I look at her and answer "I am famished so why don't I answer all your questions at dinner?" She nods her head 'Yes'. "Let me finish off these wraps and we will sit down" I tell her. "Do you need help?"She murmurs softly. I shake my head 'No'
The door bell sounds throughout the treehouse making me remember who would want to come. Before I can voice my opinion to Sophia a gunshot is heard through the treehouse making me drop everything and bolt myself towards the door. "Sophia don't lie to me babe please get up, don't give up please. Hang in their Sophia." I check her heartbeat and acknowledge its very slow. Their in the doorway lays Sophia in crimson red blood surrounding her.
I straight away pick her up and run as fast as I can towards the pack house going straight threw the doctors door "Fix her right now!" I say in my Alpha voice.The doctor scatters quickly checking her body. "Alpha you need to exit the room we are going to have to operate on her" I open my mouth to argue when the doctor shakes his head "Don't argue Alpha unless you don't want to see her alive" I nod my head in understanding and sit down.
After hours, the doctor comes out and tells me the worst new of my life to now "Alpha your mate is in critical condition"
