Reader's POV

You stare out at the open sea before you with a heavy heart. It'd been weeks since you returned to Storybrooke and you couldn't help but feel out of place. The departure from the enchanted forest and Jefferson still weighed heavy on your mind and heart.

"I was wondering where you were," You hear a male voice say and you turn to see your father walking toward you. Not Merlin, but the mob boss. As he walks up to stand beside you, you let out a heavy sigh. "I can't believe you've been here all these years."

"I was just looking for my real home." You say not looking at him.

"I knew you'd found your real mother when I first came here." He says making your turn back to stare at him your eyes narrowed. "That woman is scary." He adds making your chuckle.

"You have no idea." You add as you glance back behind the two of you to see your father's usual goons waiting patiently at the end of the dock. "I see Joey and Leo are still never far away from you."

"Yeah, they're like family; so, what can you do?"

"I'm not going back with you." You state making him sigh.

"I know."

"And you're fine with that?" You ask cocking an eyebrow at him in surprise.

"Not really," He says and you roll your eyes. "But it's not like I can drag you back now." He glances to your right and you follow his eyes to see your mother along with Robin, Killian, Emma, Henry, and Merlin; standing just out of sight, their eyes focused on you and you smirk.

"I don't think you'd like the outcome if you did." You say as your eyes focus back on the horizon.

"I suppose you're right." He says as he reaches into his jacket and pulls out an envelope. "This is for you."

"I don't want your money." You say as you stare at the envelope with narrowed angry eyes.

"It's not money," He says and you cock an eyebrow at him before you slowly take it from him. When you open it, your eyes widen in shock making your gaze shoot back to him. "I did wrong by him; and you. I figured if I got rid of him you'd just do what I wanted but," he pauses as he motions for you to continue looking through the envelope as he continues, "Scott, was like a son to me. When I found out you two were together I felt betrayed. He wasn't good enough for you. He had too much blood on his hands and... I don't know why I did what I did to him; but I've regretted it every day since. I lost a good man, and I lost you."

"You would have lost me either way." You say as you pull out the pictures of you and Scott together. "I wasn't made for your world."

"I know. When you were little and your mother was still alive things were different. After she died, I guess I kind of lost some humanity."

"Some?" you scoff making him narrow his eyes at you before they soften and he nods.

"I had that coming." He says as he looks out over the ocean. "It's peaceful here. It suits you."

"I like it here."

"Then stay, live out your life and I'll find someone else to take over."

"Who? If you don't mind me asking?" You ask and he smirks.

"After you left I took in a young man named Marcus. Turns out he's my son."

"You have a kid other than me?" you ask your voice full of surprise.
