I didn't sleep at all last night, i was too nervous
it was 5 am, i got out of bed and walked down stairs to see my mom in the kitchen making breakfast
"morning sweetie, did you sleep good" she asks
"i didn't sleep at all" i say
"why?" she asks
"i was just anxious all night" i say
"what about" she asks
"the present for you and dad" i say
"i'm sure we'll love whatever you got us" my dad says as he enters the room
i walk into the livingroom and grab the small box, then i return to the kitchen and hand it to them
"open it" i say
they slowly open the box
"i'm gonna be a grandma" mom says happily before hugging me
"we're happy for you Rydel and Ellington" dad says
"i was so scared to tell you guys" i admit
"this was the greatest present ever" Mom admits
"this will be such a special Christmas, you announced you're expecting, and Riker's gonna propose to Vanni" Mom says
"i really hope she says yes" i say
"me too" mom says
"he looks at her the way i looked at your mom before we got married" dad says
Dad and I help mom finish breakfast, once its done, we start waking people up
"Merry Christmas" i yell
the boys look like they just drug themselves out of bed, the girls however looked more presentable
"who wants french toast?" mom asks
"ME" i hear all the boys yell
we sit around the table and have our yearly french toast breakfast. once we're done eating, the fun begins. its time to open presents
Mom passes out our presents while we sit in the floor
the girls eagerly tear into their presents they each get a lot of toys, clothes, and shoes.
after everyone has opened their gifts, i decide to make the announcement
"guys i have something to say" i say
the boys all look at me
"Ell and I are having a baby" i say
"WHAT" they scream in shock
"you're gonna be uncles" i say
"cool" Ryland says
the boys continue to look shocked but accept it.
"i also had something i wanted to say" Riker says as he walks over to Vanni
he grabs her hand and gets on one knee
""I love you with all my heart. We've been with each other for years and my love for you grows more each year. You are a beautiful and caring person and have always been there for me 100% through the bad times. My family adores you and I cannot imagine my life without you in it, you make me a better man, brother and friend, will you please do me the honor of marrying me." he says
"yes" she says in tears
we all cheer, Courtney and I rush to Vanni to look at her ring
"best Christmas ever" mom says
"its just starting" dad says
"its almost time to go to Grandma's everybody go get ready" mom says
the girls and I rush to our room, i help the girls put on their dresses

"aww you girls look so cute" Vanni says
"thank you" Sadie says
"want me to curl your hair" i ask them
"yes" they say excitedly
i fix their hair, curling it and pining it out of their faces
we walk downstairs and sit on the couch waiting for everyone else to finish getting ready. its only a few minutes before they come downstairs
"you girls look so cute" mom says
"thank you mommy" Sadie says
"you're welcome sweetie" she says
"alright lets go to Grandmas" dad says
we load up in the van and drive 5 minutes to grandmas house, where all our cousins, aunts and uncles are waiting for us. once we arrive we walk inside and hug the family we haven't seen in a while
"these must be the newest additions" Grandma says
"This is Sadie, and this is Sophie" mom says pointing to each girl
"nice to meet you girls, i'm your grandma" she says
the girls hug her
"and this is grandpa" she says
the girls do the same exact thing
the girls get introduced to the entire family, luckily there is a lot of kids around their age so they have someone to play with all day
it was great to spend the day with our family, it was also great getting to tell them about the baby Ell and I are having and that Riker and Vanni are engaged.
This has to be the most memorable Christmas ever.
not just because i have two new sisters, or because i'm gonna be a mom. but because my brother is getting married to my best friend.
this next year will be amazing for us, i can't wait to see what life has in store for us.
